Santro's and OMNIs are looking to be the future Taxi's in Mumbai now. i thought Wagon R's earlier but after a month or so of the deadline issued.. i see more Brand new Omni's and some second hand Santro's and Xings.

Indigo XLs are being included into the fleet of Meru cabs. Have been spotting quite a few since the last week. Just curious though, the badging doesn't say Indigo XL!! (Its the same story with every single one of them, so can't assume it just fell off) Can somebody enlighten me??

The Loganisation of the CST Airport in Mumbai has also begun of late. The other day I clicked Esteem and Logan taxis parked there in a fleet and also speeding here and there with passengers.

This is the GPS navigation system along with billing system. very sophisticated isnt it. it has been installed in all meru cabs. the one pictured above was on a TATA indigo marina. the screen is big compared to other cabs.

Bangalore has a fleet of brand new taxis. Started with the Logans of MERU & Easycabs. Then KSTDC also got Logan as City Taxis. There is an estimated 1100 logans in Bangalore.

Now in 2009, we are seeing new Indigo Marinas getting added to the MERU fleet. The cars are the old fashioned Marinas, not like the new Indigos. Perhaps the differentiation since it is a cab.

Their registration numbers are in the series KA 03 D 3XXX.

Will see some Marinas first

even i noticed new INdigo XLs being added in Mumbai's Meru Cab fleet in their common green colour.. Meru is going quite rapidly everywhere..., but recently i have even seen regular blue cool cab owners using vehciles like Ikon, Versa, Swift, SX4 and even new Pailo's off late.
