This will put a cap on how high the ICE small cars price can increase.

The bottle neck will be the production capacity of Tata.

Can anyone share the brochure with the feature list? Need to know what the XZ+ variant missed out for 50k.

After the introductory offer/first 10,000 customers. I am sure the price of the base variant would increase from 8.49 Lakhs to 9.49 Lakhs.

Still it would be a very good EV city car at that price point.

some of the dealers are unofficially taking bookings. Although the bookings start on oct 10th, I wonder if it would increase the chance of getting the introductory price if booked early at a dealer.

Looks like these are the features that are missing for 50k:
-leather seats and leather steering
-push button start
-electric tailgate release
-contrast black roof

Tiago EV available in two power options.

1. 19.2kWh with 60BHP, 110Nm torque and 250KM claimed range
2. 24kWh with 74BHP and 114Nm torque and 315KM claimed range.

Good thing is that both variants gets similar torque. It will be fun to drive these compact hatches in city as sports mode is available in both variants.

Now - that is the car that we needed in the market. And probably at the price we wanted. EVs with ~200+ real world range, now starting to have a serious price overlap with ICE cars. Didn't expect that to happen so early.

So far - the EVs have been too small for real use (E2O+ etc) or too big for cramped city usage (Nexon, eZS, Kona). Great job by TaMo in finally bringing the elusive "missing-link" car of the EV segments.

Give it the right real world range & keep the pricing in check by ensuring good supplier management. And - this car has the potential to be the Alto of the EV segment!
Looks like all the talk of moving towards EV, and leapfrogging others in the area - was real stuff from TaMo. They are churning out real-world usable EV cars at a very good rate, and in the segments that are most significant in our market. That - at the best pricing (on offer as of now. I wish it gets lesser eventually once EVs become mainstream).

Saw the red hot hatch in the live stream. Interestingly it's not present in the brochure as an option.

And the brochure talks about piano black strip on for handles in one page and chrome in the variant wise feature break down page.

Kudos to Tata for giving a proper second car (EV) at affordable prices. They've got the basics spot on.

On another note, Tata seriously needs to branch off it's EV sales/service division as soon as possible. Akin to NEXA. The footfall for Tiago EV is going to be humongous at those prices. The last thing you want is for customers to wait days for a service appointment and then wait hours just for a checkup, wind screen fluid top up and wash.

The pricing (peanuts) is a shocker on the positive side in the post covid times. Much lower than everybody's expectation. For once, I am zapped with delight.

Perfect size as a city beater car with a lot of bells n whistles.
