Yes, please Rudraji, it would be great to see a small snapshot of the actual image with the processed one. |
Here is the problem. I do not follow any fixed process to start with. All I look for is this:
There should be enough and more information in the raw file.
If I have it, I can enhance it. If I don't have it then it's a dead shot for me and I rather trash it.
This one is going for a 30/40inches print. Sarchu afternoon. Some more fine tuning needed before it goes.
EOS 1Ds MarkII with 20mm, 2.8.

Nice colorful pic, you sure are at the right places to take these pics. Would love it if you post the focal length and mode in which the pics are taken in future.

Actually this is a huge problem. Somehow there is this assumption that one gotta have a Photoshop process or workflow. I too spent hundreds of hours looking for this elusive workflow, even bought books that boasted of teaching a workflow. It took me nearly a year to figure out it was a myth.
A workflow is nothing but a cookbook approach to photography post-processing. Once you understand what you are doing, you don't need a cookbook. But to understand, it takes a long time, and practice, practice and practice. Photoshop is such a monster.

Nicely put Samurai.. i completely agree with you..First time i used PS, i was completely overwhelmed ...It takes skill and hundreds of hours of practice to master PS. luxuary i cannnot afford :)
Seeing Rudra's photos, I can comprehend what effort he must have put in to master it..or rather he is a genius in it :)

Super shot! Took me also a while to figure out the butterfly, so good was the axial alignment.
But, why is the horizontal surface so severely pixellated? Did you use digital zoom or enlargement? How was the original shot taken?

Thanks, no-no i never use digital zoom, kind'a spoils the pic. The butterfly was actually sitting on a wallpaper, so maybe in the close-up macro mode, the print of the wallpaper came out like that. :-)
Panoramic view of Hussain Sagar AKA Tank Bund, Hyderabad.
Created this one using 2 pictures. Did bit of editing on Exposure and color using flickr editing.
