Hi rjstyle,
I'd been to Karanji lake some time back and I'm learning photography on my DSC HX1 P&S. A few snaps attached. I'm still lousy at PP and used Photomatix and Picasa for the (crappy) effects.

Lovely shot, it confirmed my wishlist to re-list a CPL :) and I didn't know you had a 12-24 !

I focused on sky and clicked the pic on ISO 400 F8. And did image processing for the darker side below. |

Last one is very colorful, I am still waiting for a pose like that, never been lucky to get one.
My night experiments continue: 35mm f/1.8, ISO-2000, natural street light (I am very happy with higher ISOs on D90)

Love the image, but processing looks a bit overdone, specially the area where grass meet water. Not sure if thats intentional. :)

:thumbs up to the 1st and last.
Just for fun- This scene reminded me of haircuts. Almost always, they end up cutting all of my hair! :P

Go that way :)

All i can say is WOW, jaw dropping, Riju, Sid, Shaju, CD, Kzpen and TG some day I wish to reach this level. Absolutely eye popping stuff.

I do not like the way your whites on the clouds are completely washed out and also the prominent haloing I have been seeing of late a lot in your images. From your previous photographs, I believe your natural eye has a better sense of an exposure than Photomatix or Dynamic Photo HDR. And I can clearly see the HDRing of compositions messing up your sense of exposure in the recent images. Cut down cut down!

TG. |
mukul I don't know where the questionof HDR's came in from. Well my idea was simple and I only played around with the highlights and shadows in CS-4 nothing else.

Still on the learning curve, was playing around with the Highlights and shadows. Will get better at it eventually.

I liked that humility :)
These birds are done with your 12-24 too ?
Get to the ground, you will be surprised ! Dedicated to my friend Shaji who is now part of my walks. (I am playing with my signature lately, may be I will stick to this)

Super picture riju, the first one!
@shaju: Why don't you move the signature to the black border below
@Riju
Oh really? Wow! Thats a revelation to me! Well its the haloing that is making me think they are HDRs. Why are the whites losing so much detail then? kinda bothering me. But then if you are happy with it, just keep going. Thats the most important thing.
The cormorant is beautiful! i wish you framed it with out the top right branches and out of focus element. I just cover that part with my finger and your image just popped !
@clevermax
Wow!
Regards,
TG.
Something I tried this weekend.
Still preparing for my SLR, haven't got one yet.
This was taken from N5800!

@TG: Thanks!
@DryIce: Tilt shift very nicely done.

Wow the sky and the reflection is too good. Was any PP done to bring it to this level? I also use a CPL but I don't get this much depth in the skies. Any special brand of CPL that you are using?
A few shots which I took using CPL in Srirangapattanam and Mysore.

@clever, riju: nice ones
posting a few birds and a long exp
Lovely ones Riju,
Sunil you never stop impressing me, this last image is awesome.
