Sparrow, shot in Masinagudi. Saw a leopard and an elephant, but it was too dark to shoot. So had to be content with these charismatic birds. Handheld shot, 1/250s.

I am quite out of my depth here, with the truly fabulous photographs that you guys - Ricky_63, Raja Taurus, nilanjanray, varunraizada, SS-Traveller and others - have posted on this great thread. Its the title ("The Official non-auto Image thread") that encourages a non-starter like me to delve into our laundry-basket of old & new photos & pull out some of them. And the foodie in me couldn't resist adding the suckling pig & the roast turkey from my Mitsui days! Mods, if they offend any vegetarian sensibilities among our members, kindly delete these photos.
