Hehe!! That's a good one. And we will be more than gladlol:
But don't you guys have Beam Fibre in Bangalore. Read umvarma's post in last page.
Seems like he has Beam Connection in Bangalore ?

Hey, thanks. I didn't know they were here. I am going to call them after work today. 10 mbps is going to be so brutally awesome :)

I guess, the poll options need correction. We have 2Mbps long back and now-a-days 8Mbps are quite common.
Th options showing bandwidth in Kbps is bit out of timeline. Or did you mean KBps?
A 2Mbps bandwidth is equivalent to 256KBps in theory. What you actually get is different.

Shifted now from MTNL(2Mbps NU plan) to 5net,here is the plan Special New Year Offer Plan | Five Network Solution (India) Ltd,though the charges shown are Rs5999/- you need to add the local cablewallahs profit and wiring stuff which came around Rs9000/- for me,at some areas it is even cheaper or costing a bit more.

I am using unlimited connection (750 UL - 512 kbps) from BSNL at home.

I am happy with the connection, some basic troubleshooting helps when the connection is down sometimes.

I tested again and got this, do not how reliable it is considering the vairance. :D

This is the screenshot of the speed I get at home with my Airtel 4Mbps connection.

Reasonably good speeds with BSNL 3G. However, the connection is a bit unstable during the day. I'm hoping things will get better.

Beam.ftw ! We have two connections at home, One BSNL Broadband and the other Beam Cable 1mbps. Dad uses the BSNL for his work and I use Beam only for Downloads and sometimes online Gaming. I have been using Beam since 2004.

During the Initial years, the service was horrible to say the least. But slowly with the years passing by, they have climbed their way to the Top. Their Service is top notch right now, Connectivity is constant, Getting a constant download speed of about 140kbps on HTTP downloads and all this for 600rs. per month. Total VFM, if you are in Hyderabad and looking for a net connection, I highly recommend you opt for Beam Cable.

And for a change their Customer Service response time has got better as well. Sometime back when the GHMC was on a tree felling spree to cut down those branches of trees which were touching the power lines and in the process they snapped the Fibre optic cable near my home, called up Beam Customer service and within a couple of Hours a bunch of technicians installed a new cable and restored the Internet Sevice. I was quite Impressed. I recommend you guys try out this ISP once. Probably one of the best ISP's in the City. :thumbs up

PS:- Check out the Ping !! :D

Hi Guys,

Have any of you tried the supposedly higher speed plans from different ISPs.

Any feedback on Mtnl vsdl (20 Mbps) and/or Airtel (4/8 Mbps) is much appreciated.

Cheers

Mods, I didn't find a discussion on those plans so I started a new thread.

Pls check this existing thread.

This is internet speed in Korea at my guesthouse room. Fastest ever. clap:
When shall we get such speed in India?

South Korea is the fastest in world.

Which Country Has the World's Fastest Internet? [INFOGRAPHIC]

Reliance Wimax, PUNE. Rs 1789 per month. IP address has been masked for security reasons.

Using MTNL 1MBPS Unlimited wireless internet connection at home for around 999 all inclusive.

Tata Photon 512 KBPS is used for on the go and is reliable than my home connection as MTNL keeps on disconnecting every now and then.

But overall happy with both.
