Guys i have a 40 GB old PS3. Many times i get out of memory since the game save eat up all the memory. Many times i have to delete game saves to play a new game.

Is there any way to upgrade the hard drive memory? Or i have to buy a new one?

Install a 250 GB or 500 GB hard disk drive. You have to reinstall the PS3 software. I have seen the detailed "how to" on changing the hard disk drive on a PS3 persumably in the Sony PS3 site.

Or you may contact Sony Service who may do it for a fee.

I had an xbox 360 & then sold it to get a playstation 3, The PS-3 is obviously better but it makes a hole in my pocket when i buy games, I used to buy Xbox 360 games for as low as rs.80 a piece. So yea if you like playing a lot of games then its the 360 for you or if you like playing only specific games (like i do) then go for a PS-3. I most of the time play FIFA 10 with 4 friends at once.

Has anyone here updated the PS3 to the latest version 3.21? This update seems to have created a lot of problems and there is already an uproar from anguished users. The most despised feature of the new update is that it does away with the "install other OS". Be aware and tread cautiously.

try this i googled it up

Well, when you have your ps 3 system on stanby with the solid red light and then hold the on/off button till you here a 2nd beep. It should go beep (when you turn it on) then about 3-5 seconds later you should here another one. Then you can take your finger off the button. This resets the display settings. Or you could try the recovery console do the same thing except you continue to hold the ps button passed the soft restart. I think thats 2 quick beeps when you come to it? Don't hold me to it for how many beeps you get but just keep holding the button and you should get to the recovery console.

As far as I can see, there does not appear to be a user-tested or user-found solution to the probem. You may have to contact Sony Support.

However as a last resort you may try to enter into the safe mode, execute a menu command and check whether it resolves the problem. Entering into safe mode - find it here

Is your 360 outside the 3-year warranty ? Coincidentally, I got my replacement 360 today morning You know, I'd be mad at Microsoft if it weren't for Halo, XBox-Live, & the fact that they've made the replacement process so easy ! I mean, all you have to do is call them & within a couple of days your replacement is sent home to you, how much simpler can it get (I almost love MS now). And thanks to a technician who followed the instructions to the letter & insisted that it was my power brick that was faulty - I've had both my 360 & the power brick replaced within a week.

I'd say the 360 is a good case study of how to dig yourself into a big hole - & then climb out of it. Anyway, its back to Forza-filled weekends for me & bring on the Reach multiplayer Beta
