Does anybody know if nikon L6 supports higher video length with SDHC cards?

I have one and it seems to stop at 20 mins even with larger (8GB) SD cards, but Wondering if a class 6 card will let it go beyond that. In that case I will order a class 6 SDHC card.

Bought a beercan!!

Finally I could win a bid on the beercan.
Wondering what a beercan has got to do with a camera?

Minolta AF 70-210mm f/4 lens - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Minolta*AF 70-210 F4 (beercan)*2555-110 lens for Sony Alpha - Minolta camera mount

So now I have a zoom lens for my Alpha!! :-)

These old Minolta glasses are becoming more and more costlier in the second hand market becuase Sony Alphas are gaining popularity. There used to be a time when one could get a beercan 70-210 for $50. I bought mine for $162. I get a pouch, UV filter and circular polarizer also along with the lens.

Similar lens (70-210mm, f/2.8) from Sony costs a whopping $1700!!
Waiting for the shipment to arrive, will post few pics then.

If budget is not an issue , go for the SX10. A quick and random online search reveals that the SX10 retails for anywhere between $150-$180 (since you are sourcing from US) more than the A2000. I guess in India the price difference is more significant.
I have been using an A2000 for the past few months and the results are pretty satisfactory for a newbie. It is mostly used for family shots and events, so it has not been used for what can be termed as hobby photography yet.
However, it does not come with a viewfinder, and you have to rely on the LCD one and that I found to be a bit of an issue while clicking in very bright sunlight outdoors.

Olympus FE20 is on offer at Rs. 4400+ as a one day offer on ebay. See link on home page.
Seems to be a good budget camera. 8MP, 3X Optical zoom Face detection and Image stabilisation.

I opted for the A2000 IS, found it to be quite popular and feature rich.

Buy a SX10. I have used both and canon is much better in handling different scenarios. Its not SF 570 nut SP570UZ and its stopped now. SX10 would be my sincere advise..Retails at around 17K in grey market, Rs 23.5K with bill and canon warranty and appx. 19K for used with bill and warranty

Thanx a ton Rajeev. I have already taken a call and arranged for Canon SX10IS from US for USD 240. In fact, it is already on the way here ...

Cheers

need some gyan here

Comparing exif information from canon and nikon digicam pictures I see that canon's pic info reads 180 DPI where as NIKON DPI is 300.
I am perplexed!
As far as the cameras are concerned DPI is irrelevant. Both the pics I compared as 8M snaps. So, effectively on 72 DPI monitor exif must read same DPI. Is Windows partial towards nikon by projecting more DPI than canon of same pixel dimension?
This might seem trivial but am not able comprehend how this happens.
