Just announced. Emphasis seems to be on making WiMo more finger-friendly. WiMo6.5 will be available on devices only from Q4 though, according to Microsoft. Oddly enough, they're (MS) saying none of the phones currently in the market will receive updates to 6.5.

(I'm on my phone, so can't copy-paste a link, sorry). Source: engadgetmobile.com

Do either Vodafone (Mumbai) or AirTel (Mumbai) offer any 'unlimited usage' plans (to be able to stay connected while on the go) for under 500 bucks?
Would this be the GPRS/EDGE facility?

@zerocritical, that's good to know! My ROM upgrade on the XDA IIi went south. The phone killed itself in between the ROM upgrade. No sign of life, except a slight flickering on the screen. Guess I am in the market for a new WiMo phone now.

Hey.. the same thing happened to my phone too... but i some how figured out and brought it back to life. Are you from bangy?? May be we can give it a try before u plan to change it..

Airtel offers Mobile-office unlimited net access for Rs.399 p.m.

I guess the access is through GPRS/EDGE.

Let me add, its full access through EDGE/GPRS but there is a free download limit of 100 MB IIRC with 399 rest will be charged at 10paise/10kb or something like that.

Just dial customer service of both service providers and get the details.

I had activated this service for some time.. i was told that its unlimited and no extra change for any download. and no limits. Anywaz.. the speed was so pethetic that you cannot download even 20-30 mb in a day!!

That would be Airtel Live, with limited access but unlimited download limit.

Just got her working heh, heh. Thought I'd give it one more try after seeing your post. Upgrade went smoothly. It has been 10 minutes now and no hanging/freezing so far.
