What do the SE 990i and P1i cost? Are both equipped with built-in WiFi?

Yes they are but dont go anywhere near P990i. Its by far the worst smartphone I ever had. With measly 64 MB of RAM this phone would display out of memory errors all the time even while opening just a single heavy webpage.
Besides SE had the audacity to release the handset in the market even though the features listed in the whitepaper werent implemented. They still arent and the company has freezed any support for the P990i leaving all the owners who bought it at a sky high price in lurch!

That was my last Sony Ericsson phone. I would never recommend anyone a SE smartphone because the software support is poor and they are horribly overpriced.

Buy the E71. Fits all your requirements (and more) to a T.

Anup, we already have one in the family (not mine though). It is a great phone, without a doubt. I am looking to get one that emulates the E71.

SE doesnt hold the charm anymore, i would advice you to go with Nokia, more reliable any day.

On the other hand these guys are fighting back, second coming of Android G2 aka Magic, now tied with Vodafone for europe.

You can also look at the latest Nokia E75 which is a full sideward qwerty keypad. I guess it will be launched shortly

I couldn't agree more! Don't even think of going near any SE Smartphones. The last SE I bought was the P990i which I sold off within 1 month. They still haven't improved. The new Xperia X1 is overpriced and now we've heard that Sony won't be using the Windows platform in their future phones. So it'll get even worse for Xperia owners. If you can, then wait for the Nokia N97.

What are some smartphones (available today, or ones to be launched within the year) that have a nice, easy-to-type keyboard and without touchscreen?

By far, I simply adore the E71; the one factor that goes against it is the small keys. This is where I like BB phones.

You might consider Nokia E90

Guys, what is your opinion on the Nokia 5800 Xpress music?? I really liked it, but the reviews on the net are scaring me! Also, i need a decent cam, and i've heard that the 5800 has a pathetic one. Can it be corrected by some software, coz its a 3.2Mpix with Carl Ziess, so it should (at least on paper) perform as well as the N73 cam right??

Wow! Any idea on the model?

And it's sure to be priced upwards of 32K, right?
