Device Details -- Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

5800 does support GPS. Larger touch screen on 5800 makes GPS quite easy to use.

Have anyone bought phones from this site / place. their price is very tempting but don't have any reliable reference. i got reply to my initial inquiry but subsequently when i asked for directions to reach there to have a look at htc touch hd refurbished, there is no reply.
nextmobile-india: htc touch hd

Anyone have contact for Nokia distributor in Mumbai or Maharastra for bulk purchase?

Nokia N900 preview - My-Symbian.com

i just read that review around two hours ago (found it in google) so i think im going to wait for this phone before i do my contract renewal. I can stay on a month by month basis till i do the renewal and still retain my number which ive had for around 13 years now

i think that the N900 is going to be my absolute favorite smart-phone when its available

It is the most bullshit phone at that price range unless the AMOLED screen and plethora (simply mindblowing) and specs are what one looks for.

Thanks phamilyman.

Frankly speaking, I am not interested in Korean brands - Samsung/LG. Had bad experiences with them earlier.

So, I guess my choices are limited to Nokia, HTC & Blackberry. I would love to go for Blackberry 8900, but I'm really not interested in taking up their BIS plans.

I am waiting for Nokia to launch E72 - the specs are awesome. Price maybe a factor.

So, it is going to be either Blackberry 8520 (no GPS & BIS plan is a downer), 8900 (BIS plan :(), E72 (price?), or one of HTC's touchscreen phone. What do you guys think?

The Blackberry phones can be made to use the normal GPRS for browsing / mail purposes without activating BIS. You would need Opera for browsing, as the in built browser and mail client may not work without BIS / BES. There appears to be a workaround for that too, but I have not tried it, so cannot comment on that.

An open market Blackberry 8320 with Cellone post paid GPRS enabled SIM is working beautifully with my wife. Until now even SMS was time consuming for her in other phones. Now within days she is browsing the net, sending emails apart from SMSs.

does anybody know why skyfire browser picks up the data connection immediately while opera mini asks for a connection every time it start?

the phone is nokia N85.

Buy Nokia E series for versatility (think GPS applications etc).
Buy Blackberry for blazing speed in everything else. The BB browser makes my E63 look like a toddler in comparison!

Hey guys,
I have been using a BBery Curve 8310 since the last few days instead of my nokia E63.
While I like some features of the Bbery like its Email set-up and the BBMessenger feature, I prefer the Nokia in terms of user-friendliness, reliability, build, and a lot more.
Basically, for me, the Nokia is a much better work/personal phone than the Bbery.
While I am considering switching back over to the Nokia, I have a few questions:
- Is the email set-up like the Bbery? I mean if I get an email, will I be automatically notified on my Nokia or will I have to search for new email?
- Email: when I delete an email from my nokia, and ask for it to be deleted from my email account as well, will it be immediate?
- Now this is one that is driving me crazy, and is quite possibly the only reason I am using the Bbery. It is the BBM feature. Now i understand that Nokia has an IM feature on their phone as well, and I was wondering if anyone has tried it, and if they have, could they please elaborate on it? Is it like BBM or is it more of a MSN/Yahoo messenger? Can I add BBM contacts and IM them for free?

Help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I want my phone to have Wifi, easy to use browser, GPS, and good build quality. I just found out that BB 8520 doesn't have GPS - so that is ruled out. So, it will be either BB 8900 or Nokia E71/72. Any idea, when is E72 going to be launched?

I heard maru mobile in vashi (new mumbai) gives better deals than alfa when buying mobile with bill. have anyone experienced buynig from them?
Google Maps

Ok folks i have closed in these 2 phones do let me know which would work best?

what are your requirements?

Win mob is more friendly when it comes to 3rd part apps especially GPS stuff, Nokia on the other hand tried and tested and pretty solid piece.

Jaggu, Basically i need a good 3G phone, Mailing...GPS....Chat etc will be more core requirement.

Am a fan of Nokia since am using a 6630 for more then 5years now. but want to try out a windows phone as once i buy it i will be stuck with it for a long time so want to make sure i have the right mobile:)

That basically means HTC Touch Diamond 2.
