I bought a Nokia 5800XM :), after much deliberation about which mobile phone to buy. In a toss up between the E71 and the 5800, I found the 5800 to be absolute VFM. Most of the features too were better than the E71, especially the camera quality and the music features. Video playback is very very good with 30fps. Video recording too is at 30fps. Though I bought this phone primarily to surf the internet, I am touch disappointed with the touch screen, which isn't as responsive as my erstwhile iPod Touch 1G.:D Also, the 5800's build quality just can't match the solidity of the E71. The cost at a priority dealer in Pune came up to 14750, a good 4K lesses than the E71. A sweetener also came in the form of a free download of 100 songs from the Nokia Ovi store. Pluses: Gorgeous looking screen, terrific value. Minuses: Not-so-smooth touch interface, flimsy build. Cheers, Jay |

BUT. its not very good at holding onto the network I like to read, while lying on my bed. Full network if I hold the phone in my left hand. NO network in the right hand. and I am not that wide. |

Would appreciate any phone recommendations: 1. Should be great looking & compact 2. Usage : Only calls + SMS (No planners, media players, games etc. needed. A phone is a phone to me). 3. Quick stable software. Thanks |
