@bblost,
There has been news of 3G and loud-speaker issues with Nokia 5800 and Nokia confirmed products manufactured before Jan 09 have faulty chips. Though 3G might not be relevant at the moment in India, suggest You to take a careful plunge.

I am looking for a phone with a good camera (at least 3 MP with flash). Any suggestions?

I found the SE k810i to have the best camera in my budget (<12K) but have a read a lot about the problems with its joystick!

Please suggest if there is any other cell in my budget with a good camera.

It cost me about 12.8k in Croma, Hyderabad.
SS-Traveller got his for 11.9k in Delhi.

I did not bargain and wanted to purchase from a store on the way between office and home. This way if there is any issue, I can fight without traffic fatigue.

The GPS takes about 2 ~ 3 mins for the first lock.
After that its very good and its like watching yourself in a video game.

The camera is just about OK.
The screen clarity is very good.
The 1 GB Micro SD that came with the device is faulty.
It stores data but I am not able to install anything on it.
SatGuide guys helped me in installing the s/w on the device and then transferring it to the card. It works.

Also they gave me the links to download the latest s/w and maps.

I moved the card contents onto an old 512 mb Micro SD card.
After this was able to install Acrobat Reader etc without any issues.

Since I was planning on an upgrade for the card size, not overtly concerned.

I also bought a scratch guard with the phone at 300 bucks.
Tried doing it myself, now need a new one.
Suggestion: Don't try installing the guard on your own.

Overall a very good experience so far.

XPERIA has just turned out to be a bulky brick from Se's stable.

there are many other cool phones out there, like the iphone 3g, htc hd which deliver much more bang for your bucks.

Believe me, except for calls, I've not used any other features of either phones. I even have GPS on my HTC but I've never used. 1 feature which I do use regularly is WiFi. Both phones have WiFi and I browse Internet on this quite often.
Are there anybody else having HTCp3300? Give me some ideas how I can customise these phones to use up all the features.
Also, after formatting the HTC, GPS doesn't work.Does anybody have any clue of what needs to be done to get it back to working?

I have used p1i for a year, and there is alot that you can do with.

Complete customisation of UI. -- Install themes.

Games - There are hundreds of them free and paid.

utility software - Again hundreds of them.

Just google and you would get a lot of stuff for your p1i.

for themes check Download Ringtones, Themes, Wallpapers, Videos and Games for your Cell Phone | Zedge - Free Your Phone!

Just a quick question - is it possible to transplant the E71's housing/body onto E63? If yes, whats the cost involved?

Also, apart from no GPS and 2 MP camera, what is different in E63 from E71?

its not possible!!!

E63 doesn't have

1. the metal casing
2. the gps
3. the 3.2 meg cam
4. no HSDPA

E63 has

1. Better keypad with more buttons
2. torch.

I can live without the GPS (which is crap anyways in E71), 3.2 MP cam (I have a 6.1 MP Canon) and HSDPA.

However, the metal casing of the E71 was the deal clincher and I am thinking of ways to convert the E63 into something similar.

Why did Nokia have to launch E63 in blue and red colour? Even black would have looked better in plastic body

Which is best non-camera phone available in the market.

I should have all other features other then a camera, the most important of all, I should be able to check my mails on the phone.

Why manufactures are not making good multimedia phones without a camera

Look for the old 9300, it is without a camera.

Will let you check mails as well as do alot of other stuff as it is a communicator.

I got myself a Blackberry Bold. I am terribly excited since this is going to be my first foray into the BB world.

Since there are going to be several questions forthcoming, many of which may be nerdy. Lots of help and support is requested from knowledgable people in here

Congrats Mobike008 I've used the BOLD and there is one word for it AWESOME The leather back and the screen is amazing.

@Nishant Yep the GPS is hardly required and some say E63's 2MP cam is better. I'm using E63 and as a text / email / IM / Browsing device its awesome. The keyboard is amazing. Oh btw I've heard E71 is coming out in ALL BLACK.
