It will surely take sometime before people start connecting to this brand as compared to the established brands in India. But I have put in my money on two of their products and very happy cause touch wood no problems till date. One positive thing I can tell you guys is I had a MSI Laptop replace my HP
Are MSI netbooks available in Croma? They're running a sale these days

Else, where could one buy these?

STAPLES in Bangalore will have MSI products. You can see the entire range with them.

Yes, they are available at CROMA but they do not have the range that you will find at STAPLES. PM me if you are interested in any particular model of MSI.

Any one using the Asus 1201T?

Not exactly a netbook. Has 12" screen and 2GB. Comes with DOS, so you are free to load whatever you need. Price is not in the netbook range.

Scratch Guard / Screen Protector for Lenovo s10-3

The title says it all.

I have a Lenovo S10-3 netbook (10.1 inch screen). I need to buy a Scratch Guard / Screen Protector for it.

Any online links / offers / suggestions?

Will a Scratch Guard / Screen Protector for S10-2 fit nicely?

Also, is there any real benefit of getting the netbook "laminated"? If yes, where in Mumbai can that be done and at what cost?

???

Dude - please see the thread activity before posting. The netbook purchase question has been long settled!

P.S. Samsung X140 is a (phased out) mobile phone, not a Netbook.

Re: Help :Choosing a Netbook?

I gotta buy another netbook.

Lenovo S10-3C (17,200), N455,1GB DDR3, 250GB
Lenovo S10-3C(19k +), N755, 2GB DDR3, 250GB
Samsung JP150 (17k), N550 (Dual core), 1GB, 250GB
Acer One(17k). N455, 1GB, 320GB

Confused ! I already have Acer one (2 year old now), a S10-3! Any idea who the Samsung would be since its a dual core?

Else, I might pick the S10 or Acer.

Re: Help :Choosing a Netbook?

I would recommend one with Dual Core and 2GB RAM DDR2/3 and 7-8hrs backup. Also as mentioned in forum, try to get the best resolution.

I have seen some Netbooks missing features like:
-bluetooth
-Card reader
-HDMI/VGA out
-inbuilt Speakers (mono/stereo)
-Atleast 1MP camera

I recently bought a Samsung netbook NP-N150-JA02AE. Looks like it is the same configuration as the one you had mentioned above.

It is solidly built, good keyboard, good connectivity, screen has good clarity. Seems it has on die GPU also. Still getting used to the red insert and the matt finish inside.

Boots up real quick. I haven't done anything much apart from some browsing and trying to run AOE2 . The game is having color issues in 1024x768. But that has more to do with windows 7 than the hardware. Overall a good one so far.

Where are you getting it and for how much?

Re: Help :Choosing a Netbook?

I am having Acer Aspire Mini AOD 250. The only problem is that the sound gets garbled most of the times, updated the driver but no use. Anyone having the same issue.
