Wonder why the iPhone4 is not yet launched!! Sine the iPad2 is launching, what will happen to the iPad1? Like in US, will there be a re-imbursement??

The price is 2K higher than the iPad 1's original price when launched in India. Again, when the US can maintain the same price, why the price hike in India?

Its quite a (pleasant) shocker that Apple launches the iPad 2 in India within 2 months of its US release date. Have they become serious about the Indian market?

iphone4 is launched in India as per airtel. Not by them tho, when i went to get my 3G unlocked i asked about iphone 4 launch. They told me its already launched in India for retail. They also gave me 3 store address in chennai where i can buy a officially from Apple with warranty. Anyways i didnt bother calling them as i knew prices will be inflated being officially and all. Got my iphone 4 from a friends shop

ok not mine but someone in my family just couldnt resist the temptation. Fully loaded top end model lol 2 is definitely faster and lighter, cover is yet to be delivered, expected on Monday.

Hey, I do not own an IPad but would like one.

So should i go for the Ipad2 which has nothing revolutionary as compared to the Ipad 1 or should i wait for the Ipad3 which is due next year.

Also, If you guys think i should buy an Ipad2 then should i get one from
a) India ?
b) The US ?

PS - I do have an android based smartphone which does most of my job except portable browsing.

The major change on IPAD2 (apart from speed) is the camera which allows to perform skype/facetime etc. If you want Skype, then you need ipad2.

India for easy warranty cover, otherwise you will save a 1000 or 2000 if you get it from US.

Yup camer is the biggest change and then the speed. After spending one day i can vouch for it. Same difference as when i moved from 3G to iPhone 4.

I am saving around 5000 bucks if bought from the US. Do you think it is enough to discard warranty?

Is it after tax or before, iPad tax was around 67-70$ when my wife bought it from US. This is beyond the apple price.

I finally got my iPad (not iPad2) working with BSNL 3G. So far, the experience is decent (within Bangalore. havent taken it out of city yet). It was very convenient that BSNL gave a microsim, and it is really interesting to know that BSNL has an iPad plan. I have taken the Rs.599/30days pre-paid plan with 6GB download limit.
