Install this app

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...dbooster&hl=en

Set the cache to 2048KB. That should speed up the card.

I used to use an app called a2sd with my Nexus one. There were two options of using a2sd - create an extended partition or move whole of /data into sdcard.

Moving whole of /data into the sdcard (option was a2sd xdata IIRC) coupled with changing the SD cache to 2048KB boosted the speeds tremendously. However I'm not sure how Link2SD works

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Link2SD seems to move part or all of the files (of movable apps) to the SD card, and creates a link from internal memory to the location on the SD card. At least once the apps loads up the apps seem to work fine.

I was looking at the moto E 3G/4G that will also get the marshmallow update.
I bought the Moto E 3G for my Dad, and I think it is an awesome phone. The phone is curved so perfect that it fits nicely into the palm. Screen is nice, UI is slick. Camera is not so great.

BTW, only the 4G version has got the Marshmallow update.

Got the same last day ( had 15% Cashback too) . Got my Oneplus1's screen busted and hence this for the time being. Yet to get the marshmallow though.

Also saw the Lenovo K4 today. Its big and looks pretty good. It did come with the VR pack, cover and screen protector! Looks like a good buy.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Mobile-phone makers seem to grow on trees, these days. What's with this Le bunch, that are taking up the front-page ads in my paper, with a range of phones all the way from low-budget to very expensive? The certainly look nice in the pics!

When is the Marshmellow upgrade expected for the Samsung world? It was supposed to be 1st week of January originally. I don't know what's the latest on this.

You may want to stretch your budget a bit and look for Moto X Play. Phenomenal battery life, moto's call quality, good camera in daylight and acceptable in low light. It is Rs. 18,500 now, but usually price drops by a couple of thousands when flipkart has a sale.
