re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Guys, i have Galaxy S

I put in 720p .mkv files on internal hdd. When i try to play some files, it does successfully while some doesn't.

What could be the reason? Any video player on market that plays all files?

Thanks

What advice / tips would you like? The Galaxy S is a good phone. Buy a scratch protector and a case and you are good to go. There is also the propensity for the battery to run out of juice, so an extra battery would be a good thing to have as well.

what I am looking is for the sub 20k budget phone. and I feel this one fits well. any other options?

Is the battery problem a serious issue? if its a serious one, has there been a solution for it? if I buy the 20k phone and it runs out of juice all the time then I will have to rethink buying the phone.

It seems Galaxy SL is not for me. Need something more robust, and with more battery.

What should the good price for less than a month old set ?

re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Galaxy SL and S have one of the best batteries available right now in the market. Thats 1500mah. What else do you want? Infact SL has 1650 mah. But due to its LCD screen operation time is almost comparable to the S.

Please keep in mind that you can always make certain setting changes according to your usage to maximize the battery life for eg. reducing the brightness levels.

Done everything. Still I need a battery that I don't have to charge 2-3 every day... and that is when usage is light by my standards...

I agree with you totally. The company rather than giving features like NFC support and stuff should rather first provide basic hardware. I hate the logic that brightess levels should be kept at minimum etc. Why do I pay so much for the device if I cannot use all the features in there full capacity. But alas its not going to happen anytime soon. So I guess you have only one option of buying a spare battery maybe!

re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

My SGS gives 35-40 hours of backup on below usage.

I never disconnect from GPRS.
FB, Gmail and all chat thingy runs 24/7.
1 hour of music.
40 minutes of calls.
50 SMS..
I do not use gps much.

This is more than sufficient for a 4' display phone.

Incredible S is a brilliant phone, its places between desire S and Desire HD. The phone on papers looks really tempting, we would however need to see its end user reviews. I too am tempted to buy that phone but highly confused with the new SE Neo. waiting for both to be released and stabilizing in the market
