Honey comb was 3.0 which was released for tablets and later on all tablets moved to ICS and JB.

Re: Xperia Z1 issues

Please try posting the issue on http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1/bd-p/Xperia_Z1, there are lot of users in that forum with similar cases. Regarding the overheating could you please try removing the cover and then check if the issue persist under similar conditions.

Re: Xperia Z1 issues

Guys I am so happy to inform you all that the yellow hue that was present has gone. What happened is that when I connected my phone to computer Sony PC companion prompted an update. I updated it. And voila the screen has become normal. As many of you suggested I also think it was a calibaration issue. So now I am really loving my phone.

Cheers

Glad to know, please get rid of that cover, it is denying your phone any chance of heat exchange with air. Z1 is already an air/water tight construction.

Without the case also it was becoming hot. Since it has glass on both the sides I think it is necessary to put a case.

Hi HappyRoadie,

Glad to note that the issue is resolved with a software update.

Do we have any options for a black theme on z1(like HTC background)?

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

There are reports of mediocre battery life on NEXUS 5. But I think that's the trade off.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Last week I switched to 3G on my S2 and I find that the battery sniffs out in half a day! When I deactivate the data and connect to my office wifi, the battery appears to extend to almost end of day.

My S2 is a year and a half old. I am certain that the 3G is hogging the power.

Is this normal, any comments?

Ye sir. 3G hogging battery life is normal on my LG 4X i get to 20% battery life by half a day when on 3G and on EDGE i get full days worth easily.

What i do is, use 3G only when needed for heavy data work. For normal stuff like whatsapp and non attachment emails, edge works just fine.

Just a quick one, how do you toggle between 3G and edge?

When using 3G, ensure that the signal strength you're receiving at your office is within the range of -65dbm to -85dbm (check settings - about - phone status).
Signal strength beyond this range (-86dbm to -105dbm & above) is considered poor coverage and will eat up battery.
