It does look like Ford if you closely look at the front grill and in center you can see ford shape logo.

I would not be surprised if Mahindra decided to sport that Ford shaped logo to misguide people, or if Ford registered their vehicle on MH 14.
Following the Fortuner's good fortune in India, all Indian manafacturers have realised the importance of the premium SUV segment and would want to play it rather smart.

My guess is, its either a Tata or a Force Suv/Muv. Mahindra's would wait for the Korean outcome, to spend on R&D.

I beg to differ. The Korean possble aquisition is a new oppourtunity. For any manufacturer to test their vehicles now, they must have invested in it, atleast 2 years back.

Looks like the new Mahindra SUV set to be launched next year.

Any idea of the location where it was seen ?

Definately not Mahindra, as they would not use the legacy taillamps on a new vehcile and this would be to throw of snoopers.

Also the front grill (which is harder to camoflage due to cooling requirements) is definately not the Mahindra family, infact is quite ford like.

Could be force, Safari or ford SUV. Who else would test one here.

Whatever it would be, but the SUV seems to be very well designed and developed, well proportioned too. And if it happens to be Force SUV or Rhino...dare i say, then its good sign for Indian Automobile development capabilities, also good for the SUV market and buyers.
Hopefully this should be a product in the range of 8 - 12 lacs.

Front looks like Ford explorer to me, but the rear tells different story.

May be the new SUV from Force table!

Picture 3 has a eliptical symbol on the front grill that reminds me of Ford Endeavour. Having said this, Ford factory is in Chennai, but how come this is being spotted in North region?

Edit - On a hunch, I googled for on Force Motor's SUV & could find this.

1) Front end looks like a Ford or some Chinese SUV.
2) Rear end looks like Mahindra. Specially the tipped forward stance is like the Mahindra World SUV.
3) IMO, its a new Ford SUV considering the size and Grille along with that oval logo ( which might be there to create confusion ). But is there any chance of this car being a Kia ? The headlight and grille combo is typically South Korean IMO. Just a wild guess.
