Went to Chevrolet site and they have hugh banner saying "Ready to Launch" with a down-counter. What are they launching tomorrow.

I think its the face lifted Cruze with the 164BHP engine. Magazines are already reporting about it.
Can't think of anything else.

EDIT: I think its the Captiva . Did not realize Cruze was already launched.

Is it the long due Captiva facelift? The MPV is some time away, and the Cruze engine upgrade has already been launched. The Sail twins are still not ready for launch I'm thinking.

It can be the Spark facelift also. There is a thread which has pictures of a camouflaged Spark. Let's wait and watch.

It's the 164bhp Chevrolet Cruze. Cruze engine upgrade hasn't been launched. Looks like lauch will be at 12 pm. Captiva launched today.

It's updated Cruze with monster of an engine, 163 PS and 380 NM of torque. The launch on June 27, 11:30 a.m., New Delhi.

Although with the new powerplant and surplus power, the car is a second slower in reaching the ton mark......and 2 sec slower in 160kph when compared to its older sibling.

Chevrolet website, is showing that cruze power has been launched with 166 ps but when you click on the "Know more" Tab it takes you to the old cruze specs. Though we already have information about what has changed, just curious to look at the website and hence the exacts specs and more importantly the launch price.

So the website is now updated, certain changes that I would want to highlight

LT gets
6 way power adjutstable driver seat
Tilt and telescopic steering (earlier it was just tilt)
Clutch pedal (dead pedal I guess - which was sorely missed)
PEPS (which was only in LTZ earlier)
Fog lamps (again only in LTZ previously)

Starts from 13.85 lakhs ex showroom delhi (guess increased by ~ 1 lakhs)

LT has become feature rich now though at a cost.

Well the most important change - the heart transplant is something i missed mentioning

We already know but its 166 ps @ 3800 rpm and 380 Nm @ 2000 rpm (older one had 150 ps @ 4000 rom and 327 Nm @ 2600 rpm), even the specs say that low rpm driveability would have improved

I think the only feature that I would seriously miss in LT is the auto folding of ORVMs, rest is quite ok. OTR Mumbai difference is ~ 1.15 lakhs with LT being 16.85 lakhs and LTZ being 18 lakhs (AT entering into the 19 lakhs territory). Though LT is VFM, I think that 1.15 lakhs difference between LT and LTZ is quite ok given the additional OEM luxuries one gets.

Can someone verify if there has been a change in Mileage of Cruze with change in Engine? I reckon with a bigger and powerful Engine the ARAI and the real world mileage both would have dropped substantially. Can somone put the stat whatever was the earlier Mileage and new mileage pls.

New car is claimed to hit 100 kmph in 9 seconds. Did the older one get there in 8 seconds?
