The insurance costs 27541 from ford.Does it make sense to you guys?
It would be great if somebody manages to get L&F charges waived off. Not sure whether this will happen.

This is overpriced. You can instead opt for reverse sensor and Mud Flaps only from the dealer.

Did you try Royal Sundaram @23-24k. If the difference is not too much, then go for Cashless for "peace of mind".

I could get it cheaper outside but will miss the cashless facility. Is there any other advantage in buying from ford?
Dear castiel,
I got insurance from Oriental for 13900. I didn't take the optional pack, instead going for mud flaps, shark fin antenna, illuminated scuff plates and reverse sensors. A penny saved is penny earned. But that's me. No advantage according to me to get fleeced.

Hi

Did you get the zero dep, policy for 13.9k then that is what i am also going to do. My neighborhood agent from united gave me a quote of 17.5k with 95% idv

Yes as per the wise suggestions from forum members i am also giving the ford essentials a miss and just buy the sensors and mudflap

No surprises but the Aspire is doing well :-

Ford Figo Aspire Beats Honda Amaze in August; Grabs 2nd Spot in its Segment

Launched in August, 2015,Ford India's first sub-compact sedan - the Figo Aspire- has received an overwhelming response in its very first month. The company retailed a total of 5,176 units of the Figo Aspire in August, thus making it the second best-selling sub-4 metre sedan in the month. Its competitors - Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest managed to sell 3,250, 3202 and 2006 units respectively in the same month. Though the Maruti Swift Dzire, still, continues to lead the sub-compact sedan space, as its numbers stood at 18,718 units in August, 2015.

Re: Ford Figo-based compact sedan - The Aspire

Took delivery of Aspire AT in Ruby red. Apologies for photos snapped using phone. Got the shark fin antenna, Scuff plates and Reverse sensors. Review after I complete 1000 kms.
Planning to change the interior color to black, I hate beige.

Congrats on your Aspire. How much did they charge for reverse sensors? I am looking for reverse sensors for my Figo.

First of all heartiest congratulations on your new purchase. Its always wise to go in for reverse sensors as parking space in the cities is getting congested day by day making parking a herculean task. Also endorse your decision to change the interior color from beige to black as the former gets soiled very easily. Have similar issues with beige colored interiors of Dzire but nonetheless have learned to live with it, albeit with some regular cleaning. Also by making air bags as a standard feature in Aspire, the ford has definitely played a masterstroke, which will surely compel its competitors to incorporate this additional safety feature. Wish you miles and miles of joyful and safe drives on your new Aspire.

GODSPEED

Re: Ford Figo-based compact sedan - The Aspire

Wow! congrats man. Finally, I'd love to read a review of the Aspire AT from an actual owner. The few posts describing the TD were all mixed opinions and the official review is yet to come up, will be awaiting your review.

yes, the interiors of the Aspire needs to be spruced up, the sea of beige is boring. I think a combo of red/black to match the interior plastics & exterior color or beige/black which will fit in perfectly with the dual tone interiors. |Just saying.

Felt the need to upgrade to bigger 15" wheels ? I also have the Aspire AT on mind. Do you think upgrading/exchanging the 14 inch alloys for the Fiesta's 15" is a good thing to do ? Ford dealers sell the Fiesta's alloys as an accessory. I haven't checked with the local dealers if an exchange if possible but if I get the Aspire, I'm gonna get bigger shoes for it.

I have booked a ruby red diesel titanium with the same dealer.EX showroom price is 788107. I guess yours being AT the price is more than this. so 13K for a zero dep insurance is very good.
How much time it took for them to deliver?.

Sorry if it's a noob question, but how does one change interiors? I mean is it like DIY project or are there outlets which do it for you?

Congratulations on your purchase, I am also thinking of an Aspire AT, look forward to your impressions.

Am I right in thinking the car now has two antenna's? I see in one of the pictures, the original long antenna is still there at the front of the roof. Whats the point of having two?, I would have thought the shark would have been a replacement.

I think its a dummy intended just for cosmetic purposes and they use double-sided tape to stick it to the roof, costs approx. ₹.500.
