I dont think is an real Chevrolet. It must be a redesigned Deawoo. The Optra is just a Nubira. The only thing Chevrolet on the car is the bow logo.

The tavera is an Izusu Panther, The to be launched spark is the old faithful Matiz.

GM has been duping the Indian Buyer by bring in old and stale cars and branding them as Chevrolet, just how Daewoo tricked us by bringing in their old Racer model as the Cielo.

Why dont they bring in a real chevrolet like the Malibu or Cobalt or the SUV trailblazer? When will they ever realise that the Indian buyer will not lap up any branded s**t that they bring?

6.99L Is definatly overpriced!! i think this will go the "GETZ" and the "FUSION" way ... if the 1.6L VGIS engine is same thats being used in the Optra then its not a scorcher! A Price tag of 5.99L would have been justifiable i guess. I'll still stick to buying a Modded Swift from Sikands

Overpriced. The 1.6 L engine of Optra though good is not exactly in the same league as Palio 1.6.

dceite: the other day me and Fuelled had gone to C.P, we were at CCD opposite Janpath. There is a Maruti Dealer right Next to McD's SIKAND MOTORS ... we went to check out prices for ZEN lxi for fuelled and inside the showroom there were three Brand new MODDED cars,

1. Esteem Lxi

- 15" Plati alloys with Nexen rubber
- Painted Red strips all over (Corvette lookalikes)
- Non MGA, Body kits with new Front and Rear bumper design
- A huge GT spoiler

2 Swift Vxi

- 16" Alloys with lowpro rubber
- Front Fenders with grills
- Non MGA body kit
- Innova Exhaust tip lol
- Two tone Paint
- Spoiler

3. Wagon R

- 13" alloys
- Body kit
- Two tone paint
- Spoiler

You can get all these mods on ur car, if you want bigger or better alloys u subtract the cost of alloys+tyres etc... The Kitted out esteem was a looker and so was the Swift.

6.99L for what?
1. Scorching 150bhp engine - NO
2. Sportscar pedigree - NO
Its a Chevy Holden Daewoo hybrid and they want to market as if its the Golf GTi

now why wouldnt anybody just pay 50k more and get and optra.for the same price an enthusiast can buy a ford fiesta 1.6 or if f.e. is of prime importance, honda city is the alternative.
its going to be a big flop, even if by gods grace it does succeed its definitely goin to eat into the optras market or the aveos.
now why would gm do such a stupid thing.the 1.6 ltr mated to that horrendous transmission.....cant even market it as a diveable car.
may it R.I.P.oh and they put in the same music system as in the honda city vtec zx.
I wouldnt like to drive it or buy it but wud definitely wud like to see it on the roads cos of its looks especially the rear three quarters.

actually thats a nice feature that might save you quite a bit of money. what it means is that if the car is travelling less than 5mph, like while reversing or parking, then even if the bumper touches something it will just move in and will not break or bend.
