I grudgingly "grabbed" one (or 2 for that matter - relinquished the first white one, as I wasn't sure that I could actually spend so much on such an unsafe vehicle) in Dec, took delivery only later this year, and am now sort of happy that I have gotten the best option available for the price and road conditions here in Mumbai/India.

I swear by Torsen - as I have/had 3 Audi Quattros (2 x S4s, 1 x Coupe Quattro - all black/black, one with factory carbon fiber interior)

Looks awesome too.

(Everest/Endeavour wasn't up to the mark - as it couldn't get out of the way in an emergency maneuver on the highway - and no black interior)

Harsha Toyota(hyderabad), confirmed the launch date to be around December 2016.
Anymore news/rumours from around the country?

Thanks

How is the headlamp illumination from those tiny headlamp clusters? They appear small in form. But I won't be surprised if it is pretty bright.

Re: New Toyota Fortuner caught on test in Thailand

Has any website/forum compared the old Fortuner with the new one? The ride, handling, engine grunt etc?

Please pass on any links if some one has.

TIA

It should be bright. If you see, it's got projectors towards the outer side. That should solve the brightness issues.

Re: New Toyota Fortuner caught on test in Thailand

I was in Bangkok for a day yesterday and happened to see a few 2016 Toyota Fortuners. The new Fortuner looks massive, especially when viewed from the side and rear three-quarters.

With all black sun films, the New Fortuner looked like a Mafia gangster on the move. I am tempted to replace my 2012 Endeavour with the new Fortuner.

Incidentally, i could not see any Endeavours during my short visit.

Update;

The latest news is that the new Fortuner is scheduled for October end launch this year

But also wondering why haven't we spotted any test mules yet ? Hopefully soon they shall make an appearance

That is probably because the major testing of components are already done with Innova with which the Fortuner shares a lot of parts. Either ways, even I am surprised with no test mules at all.

True, i am now just worried about the variants.

Lets hope there is an top end 4x4 M/T being offered which will seal the deal for me

Re: New Toyota Fortuner caught on test in Thailand

Any idea as to whether the 3rd row seats come as standard or optional? Would the third row seats be nicely hidden as in santa Fe and now in the Endeavour?

Definitely Standard as no where in the world the Fortuner is having that as an optional extra

This is the seat config;
