Yet another positive review on Kwid. The reviewer sounds honest and its very well narrated.

Renault Kwid Launch On 15’th October.

Quote:
Coming back to the major information, as per sources, there are over 5000+ bookings received (data is 2 days old) and Renault Kwid Launch is likely on the 15th of October. The reason for this slight delay is (a month from now launch date is quite far) is the 10-12 days are not auspicious enough and hence the launch has been dragged slightly far

re: Renault's Kwid entry level hatchback unveiled EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 2.57 lakhs!

Guys,

Has anyone here booked the Kwid through the mobile app? If yes, how did the dealer know that you've made a booking? Is there any difference if someone books the car through the app or books the car by going in person to the dealer?

Any pointers would be appreciated. A close friend has booked the car through the app, but the dealers & sales team are not fully aware of whats going on. Thanks & cheers!

As far as the product goes, have no doubt, its going to beat the competition. Its not simple chance that Renault does so well in the world of Formula 1. The product is going to be outstanding

Whether it will sound the death knell for the Alto, frankly, nobody knows, all are making guesses

Pricing, we will know in a month, if Renault chooses to shoot itself in the foot or live on to fight

Service capability, it does not have and that capability cannot be built overnight. Going by how Renault has fared till now, I see slim chances of them giving even Hyundai a run for their money with respect to service, leave alone Suzuki

The Kwid as you rightly put it, is going to be a decision you are going to make from the heart

re: Renault's Kwid entry level hatchback unveiled EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 2.57 lakhs!

Three questions -
1. Is there an option of opting for the adjustable side view mirrors? The stock ones look very small with inadequate viewing angles. The cars shown at the launch and in the brochure have more beefy full bodied side view mirrors.

2. Are the rear seats collapsible? I have a feeling they're not.

3. Do the rear seat belts retract or at least tuck away under the seat when not being used?

This car sure looking like a promising purchase. Thanks!

Went to the dealer the other day & got this brochure. They were very welcoming eventhough it was a Sunday. Contents are the same as already shared here. Dealership is under renovation for the new launch.

Not bad at all for marketing! Seems like they're playing it right and generating the hype required.

Spotted a red Kwid without any number plates running in Jaipur. It zoomed past me in the opposite direction. The only factor I was able to notice is that the car does have road presence that is not enjoyed by any other car in the segment.

Renault Kwid launch on September 24, 2015

Renault Kwid will take on the hatchbacks and compact SUVs; to come in four trims. Launching tomorrow !

Source: Autocar India

Quote:
The Renault Kwid will hit Indian showrooms on September 24, 2015. Renault's new offering is aimed squarely at rivals such as Maruti Wagon R in the hatchback segment as well as Ford EcoSport in the compact SUV space.

The Kwid will come with a 799cc three-cylinder petrol engine that is good for 53.2bhp. It weighs only 660kg thanks to lightweight construction and all-aluminium engine. The Kwid delivers an impressive fuel economy figure of 25.17kpl. It is 3,679mm long, 1,579mm wide, 1,478mm high, and has a wheelbase measuring 2,422mm. It gets a class-leading 180mm of ground clearance which gives it the mini-SUV stance. Boot space is impressive at 300 litres, which will exceed most of its rivals.

The Kwid will be available in four trim levels – Standard, RXE, RXL and RXT. It will come with 13-inch tubeless tyres on all trims along with a standard five-speed manual gearbox. The Kwid will come with around 60 accessories for personalisation.

Top-spec variant of the Kwid will come with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with USB/aux and Bluetooth connectivity. It will come with a 2-year/50,000km warranty. Renault is likely to price it in the range of Rs 3-4 lakh (ex-showroom).

A bit more detailed view of the packs on offer, although many individual accessories are not pictured.

Rear seating is shown clearly in this clip, seems three abreast is possible without much pain.

There's no confirmation on the collapsible back seats. It was only mentioned in one of the reviews on YouTube, but none of the reviews actually tried it out or at least showed it.

How do you think this car would fare on hilly regions? Something tells me that the HP and the light body weight would be able to pull it off.
