Re: The Mega Auto Expo 2016 Thread: General Discussion, Live Feed & Pics

Hexa and Kite S look great to me. Especially Kite S is the best looking compact sedan when compared to DZire, Amaze, Zest, Xcent and Ameo as well.

Nexon, to me looks little too futuristic and plasticky !!

Brezza looks cool with that design, but Ecosport looks equally cool though it was launched couple of years back. Ecosport, I guess was Future Ready

Tail between it's legs, it must've gone back to it's place I somehow get a feeling that I can assume why the spare wheel on the Avventura was made that way.
wild guess : If they'd have to make it like the Ecosport, they'd have to redesign the boot lid and that would be mean two different designs for the Evo and the Avvy.
Given their sales, they probably didn't want to take this pain. So some genius must've come up with this contraption so they can attach the spare wheel on top of the Evo. Looking at the way Fiat's decisions are made, this must've been easily approved

Hexa looks just the right amount of butch and boxy, and nothing like the 'overgrown Indica' Aria. Good (re)design Tata. Just launch it already!

What a stunner is Kite 5 compact sedan!! Completely bowled over!
Awesome designing by Tata Motors!! Interesting to see their game play with an already good and capable Zest in.

Vitara Brezza is superb as well! My feeling is that MS has a superb response to Ford Ecosport and Mahindra TUV300.

The Nexon and Hexa both look beautiful. I am awaiting for the Mahindra XUV_Aero and it's price list. Will the Hexa cannibalize the Storme and what will happen to the Zest and Bolt when the Kite S is launched?

PS: great to see Kat with a Jag

That is probably the feature they wanted to display at the auto expo, and keep it a suspense so people flock the showrooms to find it out.

Seriously, why did they spend money on booking a stall at the auto expo.

Baby Jag rear end for Kite - 5?

The similarities are there. Forget about the overall length and width as obviously the Jag is bigger in all aspects.
If we concentrate on the "styling elements", then, note similarities, between the two cars, in the treatment of:
1) the rear windscreen angle and slope
2) the flow of the "C" pillar into the boot section
3) the "stretch" of the rear tail lights into the bootlid
4) the Hoffmeister kink (apologies to BMW) treatment of the rear door upper frame trailing edge

All in all from a design execution point of view, the Kite - 5 is a wonderful effort especially keeping in mind the constraints of building something with a restriction on length, (sub4m) and also on an existing platform (kite4&5 are both built on heavily modified TML X0 (which restricts your freedom to play around with track width too much).
This is perhaps the most elegant of compact sedans to have seen the light of day and i sincerely hope it gets the retail success.

Kudos to Tata. The products shows how serious they are for the Indian market. I simply liked every bit of it. As many suggested, Nexon does look too futuristic from the rear. Tata can provide a spare tyre on the rear door, just to trim down the over-futuristic looking end. Like Mahindra did

Honda launched new Bike with 110 CC engine called as "Navi". The bike is a mixture of scooter and bike and looks promising. Basic specs. includes 110 CC engine, 7.83 BHP, Mileage of 60 KMPL, Top Speed 81 KMPH. Plus point is pricing, which is approximately 40000 Rs. "Navi" is Surely going to be huge hit among youngsters.

I just fell in love with this bike at first sight. Its small, cute and powerful.

Re: The Mega Auto Expo 2016 Thread: General Discussion, Live Feed & Pics

Gorgeous! (and No, I am not talking about Katrina - she is)

But the opening day of the Expo belongs to Tata. Some of the cleanest lines in automotive designing displayed in the Hexa and Kite S, only goes ahead to show mature the Company has become from the times of DLS and Marina. For the more enthusiastic of visitors, the Nexon does its job of 'shouting-out' for attention. The rear glass/ hatch will probably be smoothened out, along with the dual-colour play on the production car. Something tells me, the car with one color and black thin-cladding will be an absolute delight.

Add the Bolt Sport with its dual mufflers and sun-roof, Tata has seriously put its soul in the lineup.

Call out to the Mods, can we have a poll every day to vote for the Top-3 most liked cars?
