I expect pricing starts from 3.xx for base and around 6L for top variant. With this pricing they will be able to target almost all hatch segment except i20/Jazz/Polo GT.

Design is quirky ( no doubt about that). But M&M here is trying to open a new segment here I hope it will have atleast some basic traits of a real compact SUV ( high GC, lower body protection etc). It might just prove to be an interesting proposition.

Diesel K8 at 676,000. that's seemed over priced by 50k atleast.

Petrol variants start at a price of 4,42,000 ex-showroom, Pune whereas diesel variant starts at 5,22,000, ex-showroom,Pune. I guess Tata Zica will be priced much lower and Tata won't bother about KUV100.

Looking at the pricing it is priced bang on with the Grand i10 and a notch below the Maruti Swift.

This is quite clever strategy from Mahindra.

Will give Tata something to think about with the Zica as well. The Zica does not have the appeal of the crossover design but is a much more handsome hatch. Tata will have to be careful in pricing the Zica now.

What's the safety for a kid sitting in front bench middle seat. Kid (s) in front seat (with or without airbags) is a risky proposition, bot the protrusions in the center console are enough to impale/ decapitate (worst case) a kid IMO.

I believe the bench type seat went out for the same reason.

First of all you should not allow kids at front seats, not just this car, in any car.

That design is way too over done and far from subtle. Its like the design team was trying too hard to pull off something cool and ended up with a hybrid of the XUV500, WagonR and the Quanto.

Well, I believe it's overpriced. I disliked the design in pics. The rear is simply horrendous. Interiors are decent but the dashboard design is quirky. The less I say about the Handbrake positioning the better. Price was the only thing making me show an interest but now I don't think this will have many takers.

On the other hand Tata can price Zica very competitively now. If they are smart they should launch it ASAP.
