My 2 cars are the Civic and the Zen. Keeping things realistic, I just want to have better brakes in the Zen.

For the Civic, I want ESP/ ESC and auto locking of door locks. Auto lock is something I terribly miss in the Civic. At times, I notice after traveling a few kms that I haven't locked the doors!

Interesting question.

If one had the time and money - and - could find competent workshops in India, a majority of items on our wishlists could be ticked off.

Personally I drive a 2007 1.3 Getz and if above were true I would rather rebuild it, with the EU spec equipment plus some cross shopping from other brands, than buying a new car.

First wishlist - EU spec - mostly basic rudimentary stuff like:

1. Better quality plastics!
2. Safety/ comfort/ convenience features
- Airbags, ESP & traction control etc. (Indian Getz petrol had ABS in top model but not in the faster CRDi version!)
- Middle rear 3 point seat belt
- Auto up down on all windows
- Auto/ electric retracting ORVMs
- ORVMs dipping with reverse gear
- 3 adjustable headrests for rear seat
- Rear fog lights (Getz has blanks in the rear taillamp and the fusebox)
- Reach adjustable steering and height adjustable seat
- Full engine/ sump guard

The irony of the above list is that even a decade later from when I bought my car, most of these basic utility features are absent in top 10 highest selling cars in our country (top specs of 'some' of those top sellers do have 'some' of these).

Second wishlist - Cross shopping with other brands/segments for features:
- Door open warning lights/ puddle lamps under door/ ORVMs
- Cornering lights
- Jaguar like door opening mechanism that stops where you leave it, or atleast 3 step springs (how many times have you cringed when the door edge hits a wall or something?)
- Leather covered dash and door pads (I prefer high quality fabric for seats, best for our hot/ sunny climate)
- Ventilated seats

On another note, if the manufacturers here start giving factory options like they do in EU, US etc. most of us would be very happy campers.

With my limited knowledge of cars I might goof up here and there mentioning features so I'd like to apologize beforehand for any mistakes.

For our Renault Kwid 0.8 (Budget Car but still want to have these features) -

1. Airbags (I'm not sure if it comes under features)
   
2. Auto Dimming IRVM with Rear Camera Display - Fitted one myself but it being my first try at DIY, I must have fried the circuits of the IRVM as only the rear camera display works and not the auto dimming function.
   
3. Rear Parking Sensors - I never really felt the need for it until somebody parked his bike right behind my car. I couldn't see it as it was hidden under the rear glass. One dent on the boot and scrapped bumper later - ordered Rs.500 sensors from eBay and fitted them
   
4. ACC - Automatic Climate Control would be wonderful to have here as I have to constantly flip the temperature from hot to cool and cool to hot manually doing what an ACC would do. In fact, nowadays I don't even have to look at the console and can adjust the speed, air flow direction and temperature with my eyes on the road.
   
5. Better ICE (with Support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) - While the MediaNav made by LG and the stock speakers are good enough for a few months, it leaves me wanting for more. The MediaNav runs an ancient version of Windows, i.e. Windows CE, and this, coupled with the slow processor (400Mhz or thereabouts IIRC) and deficient memory makes the system laggy while using custom roms to enable video playback. An android phone bought for 5,000 would perform better and much faster than the MediaNav that we have in our cars. Also, the stock speakers have failed once leading me to replace them as there would be tearing even in the normal volume I play music in, which is at 10. The speakers were replaced under warranty but the same issue of sound tearing has cropped up again.
   
6. This isn't a feature but I wanted to include it anyway - something to cover up the exposed metal parts inside the boot (I think its called a carpet or something).
   
7. Powered ORVMs - This would help me adjust the mirror from inside the car instead of telling the passenger to tilt the left ORVM to the right, then centre, then left, etc.
   
8. Two Wiper Blades
   
9. Four Lug Nuts so that I could fit other alloys.
   
10. A central armrest for the front passengers.
    
11. Cooled Glove box.
    
12. 4 Powered Windows
    
13. 4 Speakers instead of Two at the front.
    
14. Steering Mounted Audio Controls so that I don't have to look at the MediaNav everytime I want to change a song, change the volume.

For our Toyota Innova (not Crysta) -

1. A basic MID to see the fuel consumption, Distance to Empty and other info.
2. ACC would have been a nice feature to have.
3. Steering Mounted Audio Controls.
4. Captain Seats
5. Rear Camera
6. Parking Sensors
7. A good ICE

For our Isuzu D-Max (Not V-Cross)-
