Which is the actual sales figures for NHC in Dec 06? One post says it is 2764 units and another one says it is 4105... Which one to believe?

4105 in Dec06 includes NHC, Civic, CRV & Accord - all Honda sales.

Well, 2764 NHC is quite good when Verna-Accent combined could manage only 942.

Yes - When the others are having a ball!!
I have no issues with the NHC but it must offer atleast ABS at the current prices.

How come the others are having a "ball". AFAIK, there are no figures for Fiesta, Aveo or Verna for last Dec for comparison.

Another reason for decline in sales could be that Honda are refusing to give any year-end discounts unlike others (though I know for a fact its not true).

In Singapore (where cars are expensive), difference between ABS & non-ABS NHC is SGD 2000. Considering localization and other stuff, ABS might jack up price of NHC by about 35K.

PS: Just a comparison of prices (ex New Delhi) of cars in the same segment which have ABS as option:

Verna XXi (non-ABS): 6.93L (anybody heard of Verna with ABS?)
Aveo 1.6 LT with ABS: 7.02L
NHX GXi (non-ABS): 7.16L
Fiesta 1.6 SXI with ABS: 7.36L
NHX VTEC (non-ABS): 7.89L

You mean to tell me Honda actually lost the approximate sale of ONE unit for every new car model that came out?

I think we are going totally offtopic here.

The only reason I opened up the discussion in this thread was because so much talking was done before the launch of Verna. But as soon as Verna launched it was rarely visible on roads. Hyundai or any other major car companies need road presence of the model to boost sales. But this was not the case with Verna. I even heard its launch was delayed due to some technical problems. Is it deliberate that Hyundai is not producing enough because they feel that the car is still to be fine-tuned (Such as rear suspension or may be thin tyres?). Fiesta is also in same segment and when it was launched the streets were full of them. In spite of overall market in buoyant mood what's making Hyundai limit Verna. There are always two sides of a coin. If the product is perfect there will be a pull (demand). But seems like Hyundai is not "Pushing"(supply) Verna?
