My gut feeling says this car is going to be a flop! Design looks outdated already. There is no real excitement around the launch. This car is going to be a success only if it's a good package and if Citroen prices it well (which i doubt).

“Hatchback with a Twist” this tag line could be a problem in India, if its not priced at similar hatchback levels! IMHO only powertrain and VFM pricing can save this car.

With dealerships few and far between, Citroen probably wants to keep the bookings as low as possible to avoid supply constraints.

Jokes aside, I believe they don't want to build too much hype around the product. SUV moniker is a double edged sword. Barring Tata Punch, none of the crossovers have really been successful and have done justice to their mini/compact/micro SUV tag. While KUV 1OO turned out to be a massive sales dud, Kiger and Magnite aren't doing great numbers currently. Although Ignis' and Espresso's sales figures aren't too bad, they aren't great either for a manufacturer like Maruti.

However, I would be mighty surprised if C3 manages to garner good sales numbers.

Citroen finally woke up! I registered my interest in C3 last year and see what I received in my email day before yesterday .
Not sure what took them so long to send a courtesy email and acknowledge my interest in their car.

The C3 top end is like the base to mid model of most cars with added ICE and dual tone exterior. The features are nearly only par with delta baleno, magna i20 and the likes. It better have a decent build and comfort that C5 established creds on. If these are acceptable along with the price, the turbo manual would be something to lure within a million bucks otr for top end especially now that polo is gone.

They have saved over a lakh by skipping adjustable headrests, climate control, alloys, grab handles, projector lights, rear wiper washer and many more. This should reflect in the price.

I hope there are more innovative customization options, accessories options other than the paint scheme that the invite is reflecting.

Wow! I forgot the last time I saw a grab type door handle with a key knob. Gives me an early 2000s vibe. Hopefully, they price it under 5 lac to justify this.

I hope this a base model or atleast there is a better specce'd version. Consumers these days buy car for features than engine/gearbox, ride /handling. I have a feeling that Citroen has lost the plot already, if the one in pictures doing rounds is the top spec, difficult to succeed even if priced well.

Man! This gives such a Kwid 3.0 vibe! Especially the back. As if Kiger wasn't enough already. I totally blame blame Renault & Kwid for starting this raised height A-segment ultralow budget hatchback faux-crossover madness. Give us a proper hot hatch already! Not these s-presso grade monstrosities!

Citroen C3 spec for India:

-To get 1.2-litre naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines.

-The N.A unit will offer 81PS and the turbo unit will deliver 110PS.

-Power figures will be similar to its premium hatchback rivals.

-To feature a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a digital driver display.

- Customization will be the key to the C3.

- The turbo petrol engine will also come with an automatic option, most likely a 7-speed dual clutch

The dimensions have been leaked and looking at it, it is bigger than a Kwid but shorter (at least the height) than a punch/Ignis. It is comparable to a swift and Baleno. Customisation will be the differentiating factor. I’m guessing driving dynamics too.

To all, hoping it will be 5-8 Lakhs on road, please check the OTR prices of Kwid. The climber AMT is north of 7 Lakhs in Bangalore.

Don’t know what the issue is about the door handles. I’m ok with it.

I’m guessing the top end will be 10+ Lakhs OTR Bangalore. I would love to be proved wrong.

I so wanted to buy this car, and book it before launch But alas. Will wait for the first round of reviews.
