And then we would all go about calling the car as underpowered.

2. Sell the 1.4 L Fusion diesel for 5.25-6.0 lakhs

3. Sell the Fiesta Petrol as it is.

4. Plonk the 1.6 L Diesel in the Fiesta and let it fight it out with the Verna.
U should see the weight of the car dude..1.1 L would make it an auto rickshaw.

hey, guys i dont think ford should reduce its length, dont you think we even deserve bigger hatches. what they should do is come up with a new model or facelift, because i dont think it looks very exciting, its a little boring, exteriors as well as interiors too. the fiesta diesel engine, as we laready know is great. so no problem there. ford should just make it as exciting as swift and priced around 6 lacs. i think it would do great. atleast ford's build quality is not as cheap as maruti's.

That Ford Fusion weighs a lot.
1.2L with a torquey setup will be good enough.
But now, where is the engine??

The ford fusion diesel is overpriced. I hope fiat see this step by ford and launch( re-launch) a diesel version of its adventure.

I do not think there is any competition between the Fabia and the Fusion. Fabia is a proper hatch which should compete with the likes of U-VA, Getz and Swift in terms of dimensions and Punto too. Fusion is a mini SUV, which Fabia is not by any chance and if its just the price which decides the competition, then Sumo and Bolero are competition to Fabia too!!!!!

You guys are calling Fusion a hatch. Ford likes to call it a station wagon or baby SUV.

As far as price, they will sell as many as they can on the novelty factor and slowly bring the price down after a year or two.

Agreed that Fabia is a hatch. But Fusion is not an SUV.

if ground clearance decides the competition, then SX4 (Indian) should be called an SUV too.

Its the shape not the GC..Thats why I called it mini SUV, my friend, not SUV..Anything which does not have a boot does not become a hatch!!

Ford has done it again (about the pricing) . People would rather buy a sx4 than this which has more performance. They know the market very well and they are pocketing the bendfit of less ED. Not passing on the customer

Yes the fusion is overpriced by 50 k as people in india will still buy a skoda than a not so successfull fusion if fabia is somewhere near that 6L bracket. bad ford........... making hay while sun shines....(fiesta engine)

So it can do offroading , can engage 4 wheel drive and get out of the mud, or that your prefixing "mini" to it negates that requirement from the SUV.

My friend here is what a SUV is
