Re: Mahindra XUV700 | Long wait times for deliveries

Booked a AX7 Diesel MT for a friend couple of weeks back, Dealership was offering us AX5 (White) and AX7 L (Blue) as those were readily available. As per SA we might get the vehicle by next month, if they are able to arrange one.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 | Long wait times for deliveries

We did went to two Mahindra showrooms in Delhi and found out that AX5 Diesel Auto was available in stock (white color which we didn't like) and even the AX7L (Petol & Diesel Auto) could be made available in two weeks . No info was available on the AWD Variants though.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 | Long wait times for deliveries

If you are flexible on the colour, there are quite a few XUV700's available with Eram Motors here in Kerala with quick delivery, my cousin got the XUV700 AX7 Diesel AT AWD Luxury Pack in midnight black colour delivered within a week, although he wanted the Electric Blue shade, but he is happy with midnight black as he received the car in such short notice.

So, if you are flexible with budget, variants and colour, quick delivery can be arranged. You have to let the dealer know this in advance. Here in our case, the dealer, Eram motors has multiple dealerships in over 7 districts, so they were able to arrange a car lying in Malappuram for us, in Thrissur.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 | Long wait times for deliveries

Would it make sense for us to track Date of Booking to delivery status amongst teambhp members, so that we can get a better sense of variant-wise/city-wise delivery lead times?

I booked a AX7L Petrol in July 2022, based on oral assurance from the dealer that I should get the car in six months. As the schedule did not move forward, I was asked to try booking another model, a AX7 Petrol of a different color and did that in Oct 2022. Till now waiting for both - shown for sometime in Q4 of 2023.

Received a call from the SA on 31-May asking if I'd be interested to go for a AX7L Silver color. Was not clear if has been allocated to me or based on cancellation. I was driving when I received the call, so, I asked for 30 minutes to call back and also asked for the latest OTR post BS6.2 revisions.

Never received revised OTR and when I called back was told that someone else picked up the car! Was appalled by such poor treatment and spoke with the dealer sales GM. He assured of looking into this and a call back. Haven't heard back in the last 11 days

Though no hard data, I see a lot of XUVs on the road these days, so, can't help but wonder if I am being given a raw deal for waiting patiently.

Are you talking about the BS6 Phase two variants of the AWD AX7L Variant ? i could be interested to pick the car from Kerala , the issue would be transport to New Delhi and the registration process .

You can enquire on their website, most large dealerships from Kerala from Kia, Toyota, Maruti have all India delivery, so you might as well enquire with ERAM

Lucky cousin!
I had also booked an Diesel AT AX7L AWD in the last week of May, in Thrissur and specifically mentioned that I was very flexible with the colours and would like to be notified of upcoming free units.

For my booking, it was very quickly moved to "Waiting for Production and initially mentioned on Mahindra's Track My Booking that delivery would be around 6th to 8th July, 2023 (imagine my glee! )

However, the booking status is now reverted to "Booking Confirmed" and the message with the expected delivery date is also missing. When I called, Mahindra Customer Care mentioned that I need to follow up with the dealership.

My SA had mentioned that he hoped to be able to deliver it in the first week of June, considering his previous deliveries. But I am still waiting... at least it's better than the 1.5 year waiting times.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 | Long wait times for deliveries

I booked XUV700 MX Petriol on Feb 4 and was promised 8-10 weeks by the Dealer (mentioned on booking receipt as well). However, Mahindra portal always showed expected delivery date range as 21 Sep - 21 Oct, 2023 which is like 9 months.
Few days ago I received SMS about early delivery with new expected date range as Aug 9-24.
Fingers crossed on actual delivery as it still shows as "Waiting for Production"

Re: Mahindra XUV700 | Long wait times for deliveries

Dear Forum Members,

Any update on current waiting time on new bookings. I had booked a AX7LPAT in Aug'23 and was hopeful to get it in a year time with expectation that supply chain will improve in 3-4 months. However, the status in Mahindra Website is stuck at "Wiating for Production" for last 10-11 months. Have made multiple twitter post, emails to customer care, Dealership but getting standard cookie cutter answers.

Now, seriously thinking of other options.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 | Long wait times for deliveries

I booked XUV700 AX7 DSL Auto in the month of April and the vehicle is already at the dealership.

Although in the meantime I test drove the Scorpio N and feel in love with the stance of the vehicle and have already taken the delivery of the same.

I feel the delivery timelines have really reduced but still I see people are waiting for 9-10 months. Strange algorithm Mahindra is using to allocate its booking backlog.

After almost continous to and fro non conclusive communication from dealership, I realise that Mahindra/dealers don't care about it's customers. They are just flush with orders and It's a sellers market right now. I am not convinced that its right time to buy a car. I have decided to cancel the booking and may be wait for a year or so once the backlogs are cleared a bit and you get better treatment from the dealership and as a customer you are in a better negotiation position.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 | Long wait times for deliveries

I booked my XUV 7OO AX7 L D AT in Electric Blue on 3rd September, 2023 at Salasar Autocrafts in Thane. The official communication on the wait time was 32-40 weeks! But the SA assured that I would very likely get my vehicle allocated before that. However, now we are wondering if we should have booked the AWD version. To be fair, we mostly drive on regular roads and are not campers by any stretch of imagination. Being in Mumbai, the mountains up north are also a far cry. But, the mental doubts are creeping in. Which version is likely to be delivered faster - FWD or AWD? Also, either way, what are the realistic wait times currently? TIA!

Took the delivery of the friends vehicle in second week of August. Also done up with first service, which was a very Mahindra experience (Non customer centric).

Just a quick update. I got a call from the dealership that my car had been allotted at the beginning of October. Now the car is at the dealership, I have done the PDI and it is pending registration. My XL6 has already been sold. Looks like a cancellation took place. Dealer wasn’t aware of it and said that the car was allotted in my name when they were informed. Didn’t find any issues during PDI, so I’m going ahead with it.
