The overall package looks good. I like funky looking cars that have a character.

However I feel that a lot of these will come back to the workshop for head-lamp and tail-lamp replacements judging by their placement. It might take a lot of damage by 2-wheels and other vehicles corner swapping in dense traffic.

- Bookings will officially commence on January 3 and prices will be announced in February.
- Gets Level 2 ADAS suite, panoramic sunroof and reclining rear seats.
- Available with 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines.
- Length: 3995mm, Width: 1800mm, Height: 1665mm, Wheelbase: 2550mm, Bootspace: 465L.
- Eight colors: Frost Blue, Pewter Olive, Aurora Black Pearl, Intense Red, Gravity Grey, Imperial Blue, Sparkling Silver and Glacier White Pearl.
- Variants: HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+ and HTX+(O).
- Engines: 1.0L Turbo TGDi with MT/DCT and 1.5L CRDi Diesel with MT/AT.
- It is expected to cost about Rs 1 lakh more than an equivalent variant of the Sonet.

Kia Syros is quite an impressive package prioritising practicality and passenger comfort over everything else. The turbo petrol is a bonus. Quite a polarising, yet striking design as expected based on the teasers. But quirky can be cool for some. Those who prioritise passenger comforts over exterior looks wouldn't mind as well. Being on the taller side, I've always thought of why the rear seats cannot slide or recline like front seats is small cars, and I'm glad a manufacturer is finally bringing that flexibility here in a small car.

Kia missed a chunk of prospective customers by not announcing the prices. There are lucrative year end offers being offered by several manufacturers and customers are taking advantage of that. The price hikes of several manufacturers are likely to hit in January and customers are trying to avoid that as well. Many would have waited for this unique car if the introductory prices were announced at launch. But it's a missed opportunity for Kia now. A safety rating would have been nice as well considering how the demand for safer cars have been on a rise.

Very interesting approach by KIA, definitely gonna be positioned premiumly for urban cities.
When you go around Delhi NCR, you will see that manu people opt for a sub-4m car just cause its size, Syros will give them the premium things they want in their in the same compact size.
I believe the shape will make it easy to park and manouver

Prices according to me should be 9.99-14.99 for top spec automatic

The HTX should have had the same features list as the HTX+(O) sans the ADAS suite. Instead, they have skimped on the 360 cam as well, in the HTX.
Hope Kia can fix this before launch!!!
The grey/black colors mask off some of the awkwardness of the rear 3 quarters and that huge plastic cladding.

Wow such a strong feature list. Base model HTK is fully equipped only missing alloy wheels and for the Diesel base nothing is missing. Just hope Kia price it sensibly not like Carnival.
Though design is not for everyone's liking.

Kind of like a Japanese Kei car with a boxy shape and large glass panels. Hit or miss design IMHO. That wheel claddings

Yes, similar thing they had done with Sonet facelift as well when 360 degree was part of GTX+ variant only, later they introduced another trim GTX with 360 camera minus ADAS.

IMO, 360 camera should have been included in HTX+ variant.

Hi All,

Kia Syros to me

The body style has a funky vibe, with the front resembling the Tata Punch and the side bringing to mind the Skoda Yeti. The body cladding seems to have been added or rather forced upon to emphasize its CSUV identity. Every car does not need to be an CSUV

The Koreans have truly mastered interior design. It seems the car's tall stance is designed to accommodate the spacious boot, adding a touch of practicality. The boot reminds me of a WagonR though.

I’m not particularly fond of the naturally aspirated petrol engines from the Korean brands, as I’ve had experience with them before. However, they’re a good choice if you prioritize ease of use and fuel efficiency over driving excitement. Available Turbo Petrol and Diesel will surely add to the excitement.

These days Indian consumers are focused on features in cars, but I question how many of them actually make use of all these features.

I never realized there was a gap between sub-4m SUVs and compact SUVs. It feels like a flood of options, all competing for market share. It’s rather disappointing how nearly every car these days is marketed as an SUV. That’s why I’m so happy to have moved on from the 2021 Creta and back to an elegant sedan, the Skoda Slavia.

If this is true, then this car makes absolute sense over the Sonet!

True that. Wonder what made then do this? ADAS should be optional to the top spec, but not an important feature like the 360 cam. Trust me, once you get used to the convenience of the surround cam, there’s no going back.

I’m sure Kia will fix this blunder.

Like the car's design, but the C-pillar design could have been better. I'm not sure about the placement for this car in the market though, if it was supposed to sit in the sub 4m category, why not call it the gen NextGen Sonet then? Or does that mean that sonet will be downgraded to compete with Fronx and the likes?

This car will straight against the Tata Curvv. It is sandwiched between Sub 4M and large SUVs. Syros is similar in length to Sonet at 3998mm but positioned higher than Sonet. It may find it hard to sell like Creta or Seltos.
