As they say, looks can indeed be deceiving!

I didnt know Lumax made such lenses too! I'd like a pair, just to give mine the original look.
The full amber lenses made by LUMAX is not easily available but those made by another brand is available ,quality is okay.price is also reasonable-300 for a pair

Re: Maruti Suzuki SS80 DX

Are the front lenses of SS*) and old gen Omni similar/interchangeable. There are many identical parts for these two vehicles.

Re: Maruti Suzuki SS80 DX

Looks like a pretty decent car (and at a rather decent price! ) although obviously done up/repainted. Lost some original cosmetics like badges etc.
Paintjob isnt upto the mark considering the rear glass hinges are painted over!

Might be good for a budding SS80 enthusiast.

Re: Maruti Suzuki SS80 DX

First glimpses of my restored SS80,which turned from pale white to flaming orange.
The little one came just last night fully restored, since last seen on Christmas....
Full write up and better / more detailed photos coming over the weekend.
Now just a teaser...
This is more of a hot car than an original one !!!
Will be hunting for some cool alloy wheels in the next 2 days...

Re: Maruti Suzuki SS80 DX

At first I couldn't believe it's the same car, anyone can mistake as the second picture to be the first when delivered from showroom and white being the existing state. I like the color and an honest feed back this car deserves alloys. Please try to get yellow colored halogen rather the one existing. congratulations another boy rod in your collection.

Thanks Bala for the first comments/appreciation.
This restoration took about 4 weeks,a little longer than my usual swift paced restorations, but had to go into mechanical details to get it into perfect mode...
Im going to spend the weekend looking and installing some nice alloys.
I somehow like these 5-Petal wheel covers which were from my earlier SS80,which i foolishly sold off(now regret,so much).
Stay tuned for more updates.

Don't regret Ram sir this car is no less than the one you had, try alloys with two tone black and chrome. I know the pace you go on restorations however this car is another feather in the cap sir. I know it will take a little to be THE PERFECT and I am eagerly to see her in person.

Nice turnaround Ram bhai, SS80 looks distinctive and cool. Haven't seen any in this shade. Good choice of color which IIRC is famous with the Dodge charger.
Am eagerly waiting for the updated pics including interior and under the hood ones.
Hmm.. Yellow reserved for another acquisition. Any pointers in that direction.

That am not sure but you will get tubeless for 12" also right? What i was referring to was the tyre width. But if you keep the overall dia similar with 13" it should not cause issue with U turns.
