Yes!

OT:
now to convice my wife (who prefers hatches) that the New City is indeed a hatchback ("see honey it looks like a notch back and a notch back is very much like a hatch back..."). :-)

The City looks great enough to give the cars a segment above a run for their money especially the Civic/Altis.

The interiors look great and the car looks grown up and bigger than it actually is.

With the direction in which fuel prices are heading a peppy 1.5 ltr. engine might make more sense than a 1.8. That said Honda might price the City in such a way that it does not chip away Civic sales.

If priced right, this has the potential to kill practically every other car in the 7-11 lakh bracket. I anticipate that it'll steal sales from a segment lower too, leave alone from the higher (civic/corolla) segment

This will be closer if not more than 9 Lac on road. Let us not forget that the hatch is also coming. The hatch will take the space arounf the current City.

the car look nice,,hope it comes with a nice powerful engine.
ive always wondered why in different models of the same company some cars have alloys with 4 holes (like in the scoop pic) and some with 5 holes (civic, crv). how exactly do manufacturers decide on this? i have 17inch alloys on my swift which i was hoping to put on the new city,,but now not possible.
anyone have any idea how this works?

Mash: Awesome cool find! Thanks for sharing!

This is really a baby Civic! Toyota brings in Altis that looks like Baby Camry. Now, Honda does the same to get new City as Baby Civic. Way to go!

I hope these babies do not cost the same as their parents

This car has potential to trouble a wide range of car buyers. I am sure Honda will overprice it, but this should still, sell. I was pretty sure I'd wait for Fiat Linea. But if they launch this car soon enough, it might be tough to wait for Linea (assuming this launches earlier)

I remember the times when SX4 was launched and Maruti published letters in all leading news papers apologizing for the delay, and how buyers from other segments too had chosen SX4. I am sure if the top end of the car is loaded with features, people will not hesitate to choose this over the lower end variants of Civic / Corolla / Optra.

The only way for competitors to survive would be to bring in their diesels *and* price them competitively. I am sure Maruti need to work on plonking the MJD into SX4 with a VGT and make a 90 BHP SX4 DDiS. (I would do that if I were the boss of Maruti - I also know that they are having troubles completing their existing Dzire and Swift DDiS orders)

I didn't expect Q4 of 2008 to be this hot in auto market!

Awesome find Mash. It doesn't look like the UK version as the speedo doesn't have the dual reading (mph/kmph); it's got to be the Thai version, with the Shell Helix floor mats.

Wouwou had done a great job; only wish he had clicked the side profile & the rear seats too

Great job mash,so now i guess it is a difficult decision for buyers in the 7-10lac segment because of so many competitors, the fiat linea is also coming next.
