| ![]() ^ Maruti would rather honor him if he went through 5 M800s and 4 Gypsys while clocking those kms ![]() My 2005 WagonR LXi has clocked 130,000. Had to replace steering assembly last service due to recurring niggles. Runs as good as new now. Last edited by echo77 : 23rd September 2013 at 14:37. |

| ![]() Compeleted 2 lacs km on my 2005 Hyundai Elantra CRDI on the way to Kerala. Its been a wonderful experience from 2005 till date with my Elantra. Still the engine seems to be strong enough and she is ready to go anywhere. No major work done till now and it is regularly serviced every 10000 km and the timing kit was replaced twice at 80k kms and 160 k kms. Cheers S.R ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() Yes, usually Japanese cars are known for bullet proof reliability and one who has visited the middle east would very well know this. I had seen a small Toyota Echo having clocked 8 hundred thousand kms running without a squeak. Things in the Europe are a bit different, where major reliance is on European cars, had seen a Mercedes Viano diesel clocked up around 2.5 lac miles with okay condition. I haven't clocked many kms on my car or bike in India, even the total doesn't add up to 1 lac :P, 12,000 on the car and around 50 on the bike. |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() My dad's 2005 Toyota RAV4 in Bahrain has done about 170k kms. It was purchased in 2009 at 85k kms. The car came with a spoilt ac compressor, which was replaced later. Apart from that we fill it, shut it and drive it. The car easily can manage speeds beyond 180km/hr. The engine is an absolute gem, Have driven it off-road extensively. The '98 Toyota tercel we had before was sold at 144k kms in '09. The only reason my dad loves Toyota is because the odo increases with less service bills. We hate going to the service station for sorting out niggles. |

| ![]() When I lived in the US: 1985 Honda Civic, purchased new, sold in 1994: 172k miles = ~ 277k km. Engine was never opened. Ran fine, but was told cat converter was dying and I was looking at major bills. Traded it in for a new car. 1994 Toyota Camry V6, purchased new: sold in 2006 before returning to India: 185k miles = 297k km. Was running fine, engine never opened. Both these cars underwent only routine maintenance. The only out of ordinary events were alternator failure in the Civic at 129k miles and Mass Air Flow sensor failure in the Camry at 170k miles. BHPian ![]() | ![]() This is a Toyota Camry 2.4L TAXI.It is a daily driver in Dubai. Dont be surprised as most Taxi mileages will blow your concept of high mileage. However, this is the highest I have seen myself. Yeah,it is close to a million. Now, I saw this car about 5 - 6 months back.So in reality, this car would have clicked the magic figure. You will be stunned by the way it accelerates. |
