Today Spotted a scorpio with temporary reg. on bannerghatta road bangalore.The badging was MCI on the back and there was no mention of the mHawk anywhere.The scorpio was white in color, and when asked the person in the passenger seat said that it was under testing.

It would be good if Mahindra sticks to this launch date and dont drag the model's launch even further. They have made people wait for more than 3 years for this. That too, even after testmules were spotted as early as a couple of years back.

No it was a scorpio Of white color but the claddings were not properly fit.The person on the passenger seat had a laptop fitted into the dashboard with some kind of graphs on it.

XTerra is a ladder on chassis design whereas Mahindra SUV is a monocoque.

Pathfinder is much larger than the Mahindra SUV. (4L V6 engine/proper seating for 7 etc)

Already 65 pages & vehicle is yet to be launched !!! Good to see people are so interested in the Indian SUV.

I am also eagerly waiting for this car (SUV). I am sure Mahindra will launch it at attractive price. If it is around 10-11 Lacs for the base model then i will go for it. I like Scorpio as well but it has typical Jeep looks. So dont wanna buy it. But this looks smashing car. Lets keep fingers crossed

I don't care if Mahindra delays the launch by a quarter or two; but then the W201 is launched, it better have everything sorted out. By everything, I mean the interior fit & finish, and ride & handling....Mahindra has never been able to set the suspension up well. Not in the Xylo, nor in the Scorpio. Plus, this vehicle being their first monocoque, I'm sure they have had a heck of a learning curve. The Aria is a giant leap ahead for Tata's product engineering department and the boys can indeed be proud of the end product (less said about the marketing & pricing department though, the better). Mahindra should aim for no less a step ahead.

The way that the Thar's interiors have been put together, it shows that the Mahindra of Year 2011 is not without flaw. In the 6.xx lakh segment, the Thar has a chance to improve with v2. However, the premium customer is less forgiving. Just ask Maruti or Hyundai who still haven't cracked the million rupee plus segment. It's an incredibly demanding market up there and Mahindra simply cannot put a wheel wrong.

Looking forward to a test already.

The rumours say that another manufacturer was heavily involved in the suspension and BIW development by lending one of its platforms as a basis.

But nothing has come in the news and I do not know about the veracity of the rumours. Either way I find it very difficult to believe that Mahindra did everything alone.

If I am not wrong, Mahindra did get (I think) Lotus's help to sort out the suspension on the 2nd gen scorpio. I guess they might have done probably the same thing for W201.
