As Vista diesel is about 50 K less than the equivalent Swift diesel, Tata should provide optional 90 BHP diesel engine in Vista.

A 90bhp tune in Vista will be a waste as long as the driving dynamics remain the same. It can help in straight lines, but cornering has to improve considerably. It just cannot take corners at speeds. Wonder why they are not doing anything about it. So, a 90bhp diesel is just not enough. The suspensions and brakes also have to be updated with that.

There are some mistakes in the attached price list. The 1.4 emotion is also marked as emotion pack and the price for the 1.4 E+ normal colour and 1.4 E+ premium colour is the same on the sheet.

Almost 1 lakh difference between the entry level 1.2 and 1.4 variants! That looks too steep for an engine upgrade. Are there any other changes apart from the Engine?

Thanks for the info.
So Punto 1.4 Emotion Pack is at Rs. 710,224/- and Vista Aura Plus 1.4 at Rs. 684,580/-which means a difference of Rs. 25,644/-. Just thinking why someone will go for Vista 1.4?? Do they have alloys on Vista Aura Plus? Anyone has the specs. list?

Oops! That was an error. Please read that as 1.4 Emotion, 1.4 Emotion Premium color, 1.4 Emotion Pack and 1.4 Emotion Pack premium color.

On the emotion Premium color, I will check for the correct price and post. Consider it to be costlier by 5-6K bucks.

I dont think the Vista comes with the Alloys on the top most model. So this difference is easily negated. This move by TATA might help in increasing the sales of Punto due to the 25K difference

25k difference is not much of a deciding factor between the Punto 1.4 and the Vista 1.4, As rightly said above it might just boost the Punto sales.

But knowing TATA one can always expect few goodies coming their way

Free Insurance 20k
Free 3rd & 4th year maintenance pack 8k
Free floor mats and other small goodies 2k

Total 30k+25k the original difference = 55k

agreed this is just speculation but TATA have known to give these freebies to boost the sales figures.
cheers!!!
