The broadcast has been restarted now, but not the actual launch. All you can see now is the welcome screen in different languages and empty seats.

Some background announcement : "5 minutes to door. Can all non show crew please leave the hall".

Keep updating the thread for streaming. As somebody pointed out, many of us (including me) have the stream blocked from the office.

BTW, it is now 100% confirmed that the car launch is today?

Update 14:32 : A video on VW company and its vehicles (what is Das Auto? The video explains it)

Update 14:39 : Vento will be made in India. There are some key difference between Polo and Vento. And here comes the Vento!

Update 14:41 : Absolutely classic launch. The screens fall off and we see a host of VW Vento posters rise on the buildings opposite launch hotel. Innovative.

Update 14:43 : And here comes the Vento and How! It is riding up the floors of a building. Spiderman Stuff! Man dunno abt the car but marketing and presentation is a big thumbs up!

the car launch is weird - the car sliding up the VW building (spiderman type).

The car in white looks stunning - larger than i had expected. very basic clean styling. 7 spoke alloy wheels. definitely looks like a proper sedan.

petrol and diesel are 1.6 l engines with 105 ps with a 5 speed manual gearbox. petrol comes with 6 speed auto also. not the diesel. dual airbags, abs standard.

auto ac, height adjustable seats, electric orvms, tilt/adjust steering. front seats can be adjusted from the rear seat (unique feature), rear ac vents. 2 Variants - trendline and highline. both will be available in the last quarter. pricing only closer to market intorduction. Exact dates and pricing will be announced closer to retail availability - Q4 this year. bad VW. You can't do a launch and not announce pricing.
