Re: Which are India's safest cars?

Guys.. I was checking if there is an automatic under 10L that comes with 6 airbags. Looks like there are none. Ford Aspire only offers 6 airbags on the MT. Same with i20. Cheapest automatic with 6 airbags seems to be Ecosport which is 12.78 OTR Bangalore. Also, Baleno which offers 6 airbags abroad don't even offer it as an option in India in any trim.

It is true. Automatic with 6 airbags starts with Ecosport. There are only these automatic options even in the 10-20L:

Ford Ecosport Titanium DCT (that you already mentioned)
Hyundai Verna SX(O) AT CRDI
Honda City ZX CVT
Mahindra XUV W8 AT (this could be a shade above 20L OTR in Bangalore)

With manual you additionally get:

Ford Aspire Titanium (O)
Hyundai i20 Asta (O)
Hyundai Creta Asta (O)
(now discontinued) Volkswagen Jetta 1.4 TSI Trendline/Comfortline

I think the Volvo's should definitely make this list. Their main focus and USP is the impeccable safety, and all the automated safety features it employs, like auto-brake if it detects a car, person or large animal; etc.
