Ah, a fellow SCV set-top-box subscriber

To answer your question, no it's not ! Called up SCV customer-care, they had no clue if & when it would be included in their "Discovery" pack. Yet to hear from Discovery-Channel-Asia if it's exclusive to TataSky for India.

Looks like I'll have to switch to TataSky-Plus next month

Musicv is correct.

But you can connect the Tata Sky+ output to a video grabber connected to a laptop and record the program on to the Laptop.

You can also connect AV output of TV to video grabber and record.

I used the one below:

EasyCap USB Review - Gadizmo.com

Its a great news! Sad its not there on Airtel DTH ;(

I hope we can put enough pressure on our respective DTH operators and they might just oblige. Other option would be for Discovery India to aggressively market this channel and try to rope in as many operators.

Airtel DTH is no good.
I wish they add it to their list pretty soon.

I can so relate to that! Got home at 2315 hours last night, from a particularly long day. Thought I'll hit the sack right away but put the tv on to check DT. Guess what was coming next?

5th gear! Tiff Needell giving a royal stick to the F430 Spider. Amazing videography from a helicopter showing the slides....he was sliding at 110 mph!! At the start of his drive, he even demonstrated how the launch control works. Best part : He wanted to say how easy the F430 is to drive, and that you can drive it as a regular sports sedan (or similar). Then, after a pause, he says "But I'm not going to drive it like that". And gives it the stick again! Man, the guy can drive.

I couldn't sleep after seeing that .

Just a thought: I see a trend where more and more specialized channels are coming up. Catering to specific taste.
Typical of any industry that gets to the over-crowded phase. The top-performing generalists stay, less popular generalists fight hard to stay afloat, but newer entrants have to specialise to find their place in the crowd. We are seeing it in the hatchback segment to a certain extent (not completely, but we'll get there). Newer launches bringing some USP or the other.

wooohooo!!

I just added this channel to my favorites... thanks a ton for sharing.

I hope our desi journo's are watching, the indian car shows are pathetic in comparison (hosts, camera work, music score, driving skills etc.). Most Indian car shows are like company propaganda! It's nice to see some unbiased shows - for enthusiasts by enthusiasts.

I'm watching a track test of the Kawa ZX14 in japan now... the presenter is screaming "don't slow down"

Cheers
