Ford is testing the market response & gauging customer perception about Figo.
Ford wants people to keep guessing the prices, they are banking on the initial bookings and customer interest Ford will declare the price point after doing a good due diligence.

It is expected that the car will be priced between Rs 4 lakh to Rs 5.25 lakh (ex showroom) for variants LXI, EXI and ZXI with petrol or diesel engines.

Any update on features they are offering in the base model? 4.5 L for diesel is a good price, it will be like somewhere around 5.25 L on road which is very good. But i would like to know the features they are offering in this.

What abt increase in exceise duty as per new bugdet...?

Are the 'leaked' prices (Ford Figo) in sync with the increased excise duty, as per new budget...?
If so, then it is indeed going to give a nose-bleed competition... as Swift prices are further going to increase upto 6K-8K...

Good Job Ford, but just the lower prices won't help... need to ramp-up the dealer's end as well...

What ? Thats insane pricing. Even at prices quoted by Mustang.101 its absolute VFM package and at this pricing its a steal. Petro 3.5 - 3.75L ? Just .25L difference ? Thats crap. And Diesel, if it were to be true, God save the competition(other diesel cars).

Will wait for info from more reputed sources.

1.2L Duratec EXi – Rs. 3.85 lakh
1.2L Duratec SXi – Rs. 4.20 lakh
1.2L Duratec Titanium – Rs. 4.50 lakh

1.4L TDCi LXi – Rs. 4.5 lakh
1.4L TDCi EXi – Rs. 4.75 lakh
1.4L TDCi SXi – Rs. 5.15 lakh

The only problem I fear is prices then being suddenly dropped. They have done this in the past & owners have been left high & dry wondering why they paid the premium of buying it as soon as it was launched.

Yes, the pricing is indeed official. Rs 5.45 Lakh for the top end diesel with ABS and Airbags is just killer pricing. I just hope that people leave their prejudice and go for this.
Swift VDi IMHO now looks terribly overpriced and even the Tata Indica Vista doesnt look as VFM as before. Take a bow Ford!

Maverick, even if Ford were to drop prices in the future, you would have to agree that these prices are extremely VFM even now? IMO, Ford has got the pricing spot on. The Ford of old would have started the base diesel at 5.5 and then progressively dropped the prices through discounts and unlimited limited editions. The current price range leaves a nice spot for the Figo 1.6 at 5 to 5.5 lacs. That would be THE car to buy.

EDIT: Congrats to Mustang for getting the prices before anyone else.

Just now called two dealers in Chennai. No official pricing was received by them from Ford and they say all the prices in media are indicative and not exact..
