re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

This can be a game changer if priced correctly. The space is inviting and can be a good second car for many sedan owners.

re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

I am tracking this thread from long time and also eagerly waiting for the news of launch. Almost everyday I visit this page 23 and get disappointed for finding no posts and updates.
I travel on Pune-Mumbai expressway to Lonavala (for my job) on daily basis and I am spotting mini xylo almost daily on the expressway (around 8 am from Pune end and around 4.30 pm near lonaval). Since I was either waiting for my bus or traveling in the bus I don't get any chance to take snaps. With reference to this testing on expressway I want to ask one question - do companies test these vehicle in a phases, may be like hilly terrains, and dry and hot atmospheres and finally on highways with high speeds like expressways? and with this expressway testing how much more time we need to wait for the launch?

^^^ How does it look? Like normal Xylo or considerably small due to small wheels?

Yes,yes, @naren_L. Do say how the mini Xylo looks like, in relation with other cars on the road and the overall proportions. Also say about visible performance aspects that you can see. Accceleration and also how it weaves through traffic.
EDIT:Sorry i misquoted @ani_meher

Hope they do not change the width and height of the XYLO. Taking off the length would be like addressing the 'pain area' which is the length - while in the city

re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

Sorry to disappoint you guys. Whatever I have gathered from sources, all point to delay in its launch. Tentatively launch expected in November 2011, which may be pushed to January 2012. If M&M does so than they will lose early mover advantage and in all probability Maruti RIII will steal the march, being well designed, well priced & versatile family vehicle. Mini Xylo will be pushed out to Taxi market once again. Wake up M&M. RISE & justify your own motto!

What the
again delay? For what? The car looks almost finished and ready to launch. What's holding them back?
Looks like they will lose the first mover spot that they deserved.

^^ if there has to be a delay, make it worthwhile is all I ask.

imo, the vehicle seems to be well tested already and the delays are most probably due to the refinement of exterior or interiors

The selection is going to be so tough in next few months, Jazz (if launched at proper price), Brio (doubt whether it will be in competition though!), new swift, this mini xylo! 5-7L segment is going to become hot! I agree with gshanky, hope the delay would result in better quality product.

Same width and height but shorter length - won't that lead to a more unstable vehicle at speeds?

Wow! Thanks RavenAvi. It looks gorgeous with without that bunny-tooth grill of current Xylo.
