Do they have a separate booking form for it? They are not taking any bookings for the new Swift in Chandigarh

One of my friends is a supplier for the new Swift and he told me the launch was September and the ads would come out sometime in August. He is rarely wrong, due to his time bound commitments. But this was before the strike issue.

The sales guys here are silent abt the launch of the new swift.
I also was very inquisitive about the Desire CS, but they were stumped at the idea of such an existence! Lol!

Guys! A friend of mine has his swift Vdi booked & is expected to be delivered on the 2'nd of July. Should he go ahead & take delivery or just wait for 2-3 months. He's hard pressed for a diesel car as his Baleno is gobbling up about Rs.500 of petrol each day in his daily running.

A few points from a review of the new Swift in a Singapore magazine (read while waiting for my coffee this morning)
  1. The interiors look spruced up with a Kizashi-like feel to it. Though they have noted that the quality does not match to that of Kizashi
  2. The new Swift is not as swift as the outgoing model (the engine tested is 1.4L 95bhp petrol)
  3. The steering makes for a wonderfully precise and communicative tool.
  4. Handling almost close to Swift sports (not sold in India)
  5. Overall a better all-round package comparing to the outgoing model.
