Most likely looks like a bank recovery vehicle due to which 2nd key is not available. Could be a really good deal. You should definitely explore.

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Guys, I've been eyeing on the Thar D 4x4 MT. With the price drop by Mahindra themselves and ready availability, I still don't see a drop in the used car market price. I was hoping that a used car of same spec (2021-23) would go around 12L considering the new car comes at around 17L+ on road after discounts, but the used car prices haven't budged at all! What's your take on this?

Move out of Bangalore.

Sorry but we have a dedicated thread on used car cartel of Bangalore.
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/india...car-mafia.html (What is Bangalore's "used car mafia"?)
What else would we expect.

But I don't see the prices to have come down even in neighboring states. Probably the reality has not sunk in that Thar 3D is no longer a coveted product in terms of availability and the market might take some more time to price align.

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hi Team,

Really appreciate inputs on below. Am currently looking for pre-worshipped automatic car which i am planning to keep for couple of years as my primary car before moving to EVs. Primary usage is around 600-700 KM per month in city with home town round trip of around 700 KM thrice in a year. We travel light so the boot space isn't an issue. Safety is my primary requirement (GNCP tested 4/5 star is must and 6 airbags is optional) and currently looking for sub 4 meter cars only. Searching for last 4-6 weeks and came across below. Inspected the car and it looks very good and drive is smooth

XUV 300 W8 (O) - Petrol AMT
Manufacturing Month - Sept/22
Registration Month - Apr/23
Place - Hyderabad
KMs - 9600

This is owned and driven by single individual and reason for selling is that he is moving to EV as he is now eligible for company lease. He is quoting 11L and claiming that he bought it around 16L in Apr/23. If the service history is clean, how much can we pay to own this.

Appreciate your inputs.

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hi Team,

I hope this is the right thread to be posting this. Please note this is not an ad to sell the car but need for advise.

I want to sell my Jeep Compass primarily because it has crossed 8 years and I live in Delhi - NCR where GRAP measures in winters and 10 year old Diesel cars, both are frowned upon by the learned intellectuals

I want to know what should be my asking price / expectation for this car.

Model: Jeep Compass (O) 4WD
Colour: White
Transmission: Manual
Kms: 40k (approx)
Purchased Nov 2017

It will be really helpful because I don't know if the offers from the Spinny & Cars24 guys and other offers I receive are decent or not.

Appreciate the help

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hi all,
I’ve been looking at this used Thar 3 Door D AT 4X4. It’s a September 2023 model with only 18,000 kilometers on the odometer. It’s a direct owner’s car.

The seller is expecting a price of approximately 14 lakhs. I believe it’s a good deal, but I would appreciate some opinions on the matter.

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

I have been offered a used BMW 320Ld Luxury Line, driven for around 42000 KMs and manufactured in June 22. The car seems to be in a good condition. Is around 45 lakhs the right price for it in Bangalore?

If the car is in excellent condition, Spinny is offering around 36.8 to 42.86 lakhs on this model, so 45 lakhs seems fair, ideally, I would like to bring it down to around 43.50 to 44 lakhs, but if the car is in great condition, I don't see anything wrong in paying 45 lakhs for it.

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hi Everyone.

I had misplaced my Car RC book and had applied for a duplicate RC book with RTO and got the same.

Recently I found the Original RC at my parents home and also holding the same with me. Reached out to RTO and checked if there is a process to update that Original RC has been recovered in their records and they replied in negative.

I was planning to sell my car and tried to get the evaluation from Spinny and couple of other car dealers( for car exchange) and they quoted very low price stating that car has got duplicate RC. Despite me clarifying that I hold the original RC ( though invalid as I got a new RC), they are giving this as a reason for low quotes.

Kindly confirm if there is a way to update the RTO records and also wanted to know whether the reasons quoted by the dealers are correct ?

Not sure of this is the correct place to put this query? If not, request moderators to move this to the correct place.

Regards

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

How much I can expect if I sell off our 2014 Honda City iDTEC V MT Diesel, which has run 194k Kms till date? This is a second owner car btw, which was bought in 2017 for Rs.8L.

Planning to make a transition to EV world soon hence planning to sell it off and has next to zero running after I moved to USA.

Also, how much I can expect if we sell off a 2017 facelifted Honda City ZX MT iDTEC Diesel, that has run 116k Kms? This is my cousin's car and he is planning to sell it off as he wants to move to EVs due to increasing running costs. He bought this car in 2023 for Rs.8.4L when the odo was 72k Kms and since then, he had driven 44k Kms in 2 years of ownership.

You should expect at least 3.50 lakh for your car assuming it's in very good condition, your cousin's car should get at least 6.50 lakh assuming it's in great condition as well.

These are based on my calculations and the prices offered by used car dealerships as well as the general market, these are the lowest prices you should expect and ideally, you should be able to sell at prices higher than these. Do check out listings for similar make and model on OLX to see how sellers price them and make a call.

2-2.5L for the 1.94L run specimen and 5-5.5L for the other one.

I would say those ranges are extremely optimistic. The market doesn't value cars run 200k very well and for good reason that most owners simply don't spend on the required upkeep.

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hi all,

My brother is planning to sell his VW Polo - Diesel. What is the realistic price to expect in Karnataka? This is not a distress sell.

Details of the car:
---------------------- -------------------------------------------
Model: Volkswagen Polo TDI 1.2 litres, trendline varient
Fuel type: Diesel
Year: June - 2012 (first lot car)
# of owner: First Owner, lady doctor driven in Mysore(low traffic)
KM's run: 1.1 Lac
Usage: Doctor driven, single hand
Service: Done at VW ASS at regular intervals,
Additional info: Recently suspensions replaced, steering rack overhauled to remove rust marks, PMS service done less than month ago, Drives like a dream with good pickup
-------------------------------------

Most of Facebook posting from Karnataka are with multiple owners and quoting 3 lac +.

Thanks in advance,
