Good ol memories Karan. And we have TBHP to thank for preserving them too.

Indeed, Guderian is dearly missed at every Fortuner meet. May his soul rest in peace.

Hi Karan, you are doing a great job with your video reviews. The videos and the presentation looks thoroughly professional. Keep it up man. Looking forward to many more of those.
Whats your thought on the New Fortuner? I believe you are on of the prospective cusomers for it. Thanks

Do you still drive older one over new? What's your initial take on new vs old?

Would still prefer looks of old fortuner compared to new one; smaller headlights, lack of prominent wheel arch doesn't make new fortuner look like big SUV.

YES, i did drive a couple of times.

My initial take is fairly simple. The new Fortuner is still that very butch, old school SUV but in a new package that i always wanted i.e. more features, better interiors & a touch more refined. A detailed comparison will be done once i start the New Fortuner thread

Sukiwa,

Yes, the old is truly good looking. The looks of new one take time to grown on you as i stated above the new one is still that old school SUV but in a new package.

The old one was so good that ONLY a Fortuner could replace it, Hence ...

Its been 6+ years with the old one & was a joy to own but now will be SOLD shortly.

Now that you have said it, allow me share a parting shot.

At time of clicking this, I would have captioned it 'it's Brute-Fort at end of tunnel' but now would have to caption it 'Sayonara Brute-Fort'.

First of all congratulations Karan for getting the all new T-Fort!
Have been following your ownership thread for long and I am particularly a great fan of your video reviews.
Hope a video review for the new Fortuner will be out soon!
Btw for me the old one still looks more rugged!

re: My BRUTE-FORT: Toyota Fortuner 4x4 M/T [Upgraded Brake Booster & A/T Tyres] EDIT: Now sold!

What are your views on purchasing a preowned fortuner 4x4 2010 model run 66000 kms? I'm looking for at least 5 years of ownership?
Understand that toyota is one of the best in services and after sales but what about availability of spares ? I remember when the Qualis was stopped there was a problem in parts after a few years. What are your views ?

Should not be an issue at all. The Fortuner has sold in millions around a lot of countries and spares will easily be available for it for the next 10-12 years at least.

Even ASCs should be able to maintain it easily. If the odo reading is genuine, go for it if you like it.

Hi Apology for a late reply as I skipped seeing your post.

Well a preowned Fortuner done 66k kms is a low usage one & long term availability of spare parts etc will not be a problem hence dont worry. But do check the service history before going ahead.

All the best
