I am done with aftermarket stuff! My personal experience tells me, they are a headache and I shall avoid them!

I have removed the CAI, the mufflers and next in line is the rest of the FFE.

Want to live with peace of mind now.

Ashutosh,
I also get my car serviced from the same place and my experience so far has been pretty good. They are not as organized as Maruti and Hyundai. However, I have made a couple of friends there and get prompt attention. So far parts have not been a problem. On rough roads, I could hear some noise coming from the doors and so they replaced some kit in all the doors and the noise is gone. It was done free of cost under warranty.
Which car are you planning to buy next?

I've been going to the same dealer since the past three years. But off late the service was getting worse. And this time my fuse just blew. Bhasin is way much better than them.

Loan ends next year, waiting to see how VW prices the Polo Sedan.

One gripe that I have is that they make the car dirty. These beige interiors are really difficult to maintain. However, till now I have no regrets about buying this car.
I work for a Software consultancy firm. Some one in our office has a black logan and I was wondering if it's you :-)

I get mine serviced at Sterling Motors Gurgaon and have had a pretty pleasant experience with them for all 4 services. Sad to hear your experience though... with the car not exactly being a segment leader maybe the bad A.S.S. is just a natural fallout.. wonder what it's like at other service centres..

Hey Zblue.. long time! How have you been?

Although I agree with you that the sales might have a role here, but my view is that Logans have always seen stepmotherly treatment at Mahindra service centres. I mean, its been three years since its launch and one would still find service managers not knowing where the hood release lever is! I find it obvious because a majority of their clientele is scorpios and boleros. And with Logans selling in such small numbers a change is highly unlikely.

My wish is that Renault takes over MRPL, and that includes aftersales too. I don't mind traveling another ten kilometres if i am getting better service.

I work in sector-59 and live in 19A. I think I saw your car (I recognized the rear lights) on the road dividing sector 20 and 26. It was parked near a chaat waalah.

Ashutosh,
What tyre pressure do you maintain in your car?

When I had the S.drives (size 205/55 R15) it used to be 27-28. Have just switched to Continental CPC2s (size 195/60 R15), now its 30.

After three years and hundreds of big and small dents and scratches later.. I am still in love!

She is due for a denting-painting job. But, I am waiting to see how the new Logan's nose would be, might as well shift to that.

She has reached 49k on the odo.. will post a lengthy 50k review. There is nothing much to complain though, except the Mahindra aftersales.

Some pics I clicked today:

Ashutosh, except for some scrapes on the bumper, i didnt see any other dings and dents.
The after market taillamps have greatly enhanced the looks at the rear.

No PS job here! There are some dings and too many scratches that these pics won't show. Will get them sorted out soon.

@benbsb: I'll agree with you on the tail lamps. These taiwanese aftermarket ones look more expensive and so better than the stock ones!

Just noticed some additional linkages on one of the wipers. Can we get a closeup and what it is for?
