I demanded for Teflon Coat. They were a bit fuzzy and I left it. May be, I should have pressed hard it looks.

Actually I bought mine in May 2007, just when it was launched .... so you may guess what I got.

After a 30 or 40km drive, when I park the car and turn off the engine, I still hear a buzzing sound from the engine. I beleive it is the fan. I will have to again start the engine and give a slight press on the accelerator and then turn off the engine. I dont know if this is common on all the Logan's. I have not yet taken it to the service center. Wanted to know from the experts first before taking it to the service center. Is it a fault that has to be taken care immediately?

Hi Fuzzy,
The fan starts and stops automatically. You don't have to worry about it. Its normal.

Ok so bought new shoes for my logan again. This is the third pair in less than a year!!
But I always wanted to go for Yokos and finally I did. Hope this brings a full stop to the tyre shopping atleast. Now over to some other things. Getting the interiors repainted (full black) and Projector headlamps are next in the list.

Wheels: SM Hyper Silver 15"x6.5J
Tyres: Yoko S.Drives 205/55/R15

For more pics, do visit my garage.

Nice wheels there ashutosh. Also visited your Gallery and I must say a very well mantained Logan you have there.

It's not really a bad looker, even from the Boot, Its just a matter of time before we sart accepting it's looks. I think the design of the Logan is far better / radical than other cars - DeZire.

How much for the wheels ??

Apart from the interiors, two other things I want to go for. One, the projector headlamps, which I'll soon buy. Other is getting this grille, though this is a MS Paint job, but will get someone who can make it for me.

hi anil,
you'll have to be specific. do you want to get the 205 tyres? if yes, then they can not be fitted on the stock 5.5" rim. our resident tyre gurus can give you more gyan on it.

ashutosh nice choice of tyres there. I am sure you will love every bit of grip it provides, albeit be ready for the soft compound surprise since it wears out a little too fast.
Also nice idea of getting projectors for the car.

I am on look out for a Sedan. Logan is one of the possibilities. My requirements are of a chauffer driven car with good back-seat comfort and ride. i do not mind the looks (i have a cockrthatoach eyed Santro 1999 which perhaps was one of the ugliest cars). the drive is city-drive < 20 kms /day (does not qualify for diesel). also i intend to have all the safety features for the least possible dough --> that makes Logan even a more compelling proposition. presently my apprehension about logan which the gurus of this forum may comment on.
1. A.S.S of mahindra
2. Resale value
3. Possibility of Logan II launch
4. breakdown of co-operation b/w mahindra and renault. i do not see news of any other models getting launched under the combined banner. plus mahindra's more interest in SUV's than cars/sedans
5. any newer/expected launches in the near future in the same price-range. i have read horror stories about indigo. also indigo CS does seem to match the build quality of logan. is indigo V3 worth waiting for? will fiat-linea match the price range?
waiting for advice. thanks in advance.
any discounts/scheme on logan in delhi / noida?
@ashutoshsb - can u p.m ur contact details?
