As per on old post in the Yahoo Indica group, the diesel Indica and its cousins do not have any 'learning' functions. Only in the BS3 versions are fault codes stored, which are erased with battery disconnections or ECU fuse removal.

I am concerned as this problem may crop up again after getting the affected parts painted.
Faulty battery nothing to do with parking in incline. Ask them to clean the area well with water, then do a surface treatment with anti corrosive coat and then paint. Otherwise rust will reappear after couple of weeks.

Updating couple of shots after the 3M job Rather difficult to point out on a white car. Anyways the shine after 2 weeks of neglect and one wash in the morning.

Loved pics #3 & #4. Way to go, gun-man !
Mirror could have been pointing a lil more outwards, to have got a full, plain image in the mirror (note top right corner)

So looks like there's nothing wrong with the ECU settings !

@trrk, the 3 yr old truck is BS-III.

Where was this done in Indira nagar?

Thanks! The car is looking as if it is just out of the showroom. Congrats!

Shall I ask them to replace the battery? Will this be covered under warrenty?

No this was done by 3M direct, complete surface refinement, minor scratch removal and polishing. Costlier job compared to Mohan 2800 IIRC. Recommended for slightly older cars.

They have a shop at Indira Nagar, near by the Goodyear showroom near to BDA.

Thanks again. I think you should try for a warranty replacement, though they might honor it if the car is under one year. Worth a try though.

May be i should try them when i come to Bangalore next time. I have been regular customer to Mohan after your reviews, and used to get my car polished once in 6 month.

Any idea if they have any outlet near Hebbal?? However i ll talk to Mr. Praveen

Assuming Tata follows the same for Sumo, all you manage is take out the error codes. Not going to change much about the driving experience!
