Quite true. Have worked with a Honda Dealership in my city for a couple of months as a Sales Trainer(then had to leave so as to pursue higher studies),
hence I know how better Chevy Cruze is due to the many factors like being a diesel car, having size comparable to Accord, good and advanced interiors, et al.

Very true. Plus Civic is an old product, where as Cruze is a new thing.
Word of mouth plays an important role in auto industry. And it seems GM is quite serious with Cruze and Beat.

Here's an update on my Cruze AT. I just returned from a 9 days (2100 kms) pilgrimage tour to Tamilnadu.

Tour Summary:

Route: Bangalore -> Madurai -> Tirunelveli -> Kanyakumari -> Rameshwaram -> Tanjavur -> Pondichery -> Mahabalipuram -> Bangalore

Distance Traveled: 2100 kms
Driving Time: 38.5 hrs
Average Speed: 54.5 kmph
Top Speed: 120 kmph
Fuel Consumed: 146.5 litres
Mileage: 14.3 kmpl

The car has returned a good highway mileage not surprisingly as you drove it with a light foot. Whats the secret of your controlling power?

Congrats on buying this cool ride, man! I may sound silly, but I always wanted to ask this regarding the AT in the Cruze. How do you compare the Honda AT gearbox (as in City, Civic) with the one in the Cruze. Ist major difference noticeable is the absence of a paddle shift in the Cruze. Does Cruze support that kind-of-manual gear shift experience? Or is it just the fully automatic mode always?

Thanks, James. I presume you know how the paddle shifts work in the Civic. The Cruze is equipped with a 6 speed Tiptronic gearbox which also lets you manually shift the gear in a sequential manner. However, in terms of ease of use, the paddle shifts are a lot better since they are easily accessible as they are more conveniently located (behind the steering wheel). In Cruze, you need to reach out to the gear lever just like how you would do in a manual transmission car. Another difference is in the Auto mode. While the Civic is equipped with D, 2 and L, the Cruze possess just D mode. Having said that, I must admit that the D mode in Cruze is more than adequate for most situations.
