Re: Racedynamics: DieselTronic Tuning Box

I'm planning to install the dieseltronic tuning box on my 2011 figo 1.4 tdci. The car has run 70k kms and is completely stock. Will it have any negative effects in terms of reliability in the future?

Re: Racedynamics: DieselTronic Tuning Box

A very good explanation related to tuning box vs remaps for a crdi engine. He says tuning box is better for a stock car and remap for a heavy mods such as turbos.

Re: Racedynamics: DieselTronic Tuning Box

Has any tried, or heard comments about the dual-channel dieseltronic running on a Jeep Compass? I'm tempted to try it out, but don't know whether it is better than Pete's option.

Re: Racedynamics: DieselTronic Tuning Box

[

It's been 4 days and 250 KMs on odo post-installation. Though I tried all the modes, 80% time I am on P1 and 15% time on P2 mode and 5% on E.

Hi Mate,
Please could you share your 9 months usage of dieseltronic, pros and cons, As Iam planning shortly for my car.

Re: Racedynamics: DieselTronic Tuning Box

Hi Guys,
Iam from Hyderabad and I own Tata Bolt Diesel.

My car has clocked 53000kms.

I would like to install the tuning box and I got two options.

1) One of the bhpian from tamilnadu is ready to ship Race Chip tuning box and he is charging rs10000.

Or

2) I should reach out to RD guys for single channel Dieseltronic which would cost Rs19999.

Tamilnadu guy(Niranjan) used this product on Fiat Linea and confirmed it should be compatible to Bolt. But Iam not confident about the installation for Race Chip.

Please if you clear my doubts as to which one is best to go with.

I would suggest you go with a remap than tuning box. Remaps provide better results than the tuning box. If you cannot find a reliable tuner in your location to remap then as a last resort you can go for the box.

Honestly, in todays age, tuning box are passé.

Re: Racedynamics: DieselTronic Tuning Box

Thanks for quick response Sagar.
Not had much luck with tuners.

Initially they sound confident as they had ready made setting/ for Polo , they assume it was easy for Bolt Diesel.
In top end Bolt, they found the ecu belongs to ecu found in Italian truck and No response even after 5 months.

So planning to move to tuning box , as reading some of positive responses from bhpians, Iam tempted to go for chip.

Hey guys, Planning to install the Dieseltronic dual channel box on my 2014 fortuner. Anybody faced any issues so far? I think it is a good investment given the increase in mileage.

Hello punterccrx8s,

I have installed Dieseltronic dual channel box on my Thar. I have never faced any issues with it and I feel its worth the investment . The best part of a tuning box over a remap is that you can switch modes and it is plug and play but the power gains will be more when remapped. The mileage would depend on your driving style and the modes you choose. I hardly use the Economy mode. In P1 mode, my FE has improved by 1- 1.5 kmpl.

with all due respect & not to discourage you, but see this post : https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-...ml#post4426862

Fortuner is bullet-proof, often known as a tank, so do such mods carefully.

regards,
Pranav

Thanks for this. Will definitely not install the box after reading this. I do not want to compromise the Fortuner's reliability as I intend to use the vehicle for a long time.
